The finalNintendoDirect of the original Switch era featured a new trailer for Pokemon Legends Z-A. It was revealed that the game will feature adedicated battle tournamentcalled the Z-A Royale, giving battle-focused fans the chance to compete with the best trainers in the region.
The Pokemon Z-A Royale Lets Players Battle To Their Hearts Content
The Z-A Royale occurs in the Wild Areas, which are cordoned off areas of Lumiose City wherewild ‘Mons can roam. When night falls, special trainers will appear here, ready for battle with those who want to rise through the ranks.
Naturally, the Z-A Royale fights will be harder than the regular trainers, but players can get the drop on their enemies by launching a surprise attack. It’s also possible tounleash Mega Evolutionsin the game, so these can be used to win battles.
The Z-A Royale features a ranking system, with players starting at Z-Rank and working their way up by winning battles. Those who reach A-Rank are said to have a wish granted, which could be how players acquire anEternal Flower Floette.
A dedicated combat mode is what Pokemon Legends: Arceus fans were asking for, and it’s great to see Game Freak giving that aspect of the franchise its own focus in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, giving the die-hard fans a reason to try outsmart team compsin a mainline game.
