Pokemon Home’shighly anticipated 2.0 update arrives later today, but will sadly come with an extended period of server maintenance.

Update 2.0 comes to the Nintendo Switch and mobile devices on May 18 and will finally allow players to linkPokemon HOMEtoPokemon Legends: Arceus, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond, Pokemon Shining Pearl, Pokemon Sword, Pokemon Shield, Pokemon: Let’s Go Pickachu!, Pokemon Le’s Go Evee!, andPokemon GO.

It has also been confirmed that the ability to transfer Pokemon between games will also be present following update 2.0. According to the officialPokemon website, “Pokémon Legends: Arceus,Pokémon Brilliant Diamond,Pokémon Shining Pearl,Pokémon Sword, andPokémon Shieldwill be mutually compatible with Pokémon HOME, and you will be able to deposit and withdraw Pokémon to and from each of these games”.

This means players will be able to take any caught Pokemon inPokémon SwordorPokémon ShieldintoPokémon Legends: Arceus,Pokémon Brilliant Diamond, orPokémon Shining Pearl.

As revealed by the officialPokemonTwitter account,Pokemon HOMEwill be unavailable for an extended period of time whilst server maintenance is carried out.

According toserebii.net, maintenance will last for a total of 6 hours, beginning at the following time:

During the 6 hour maintenance,Pokemon HOMEwill not be accessible. Serebii also reports that there will be staggered logins until 1AM UTC on May 19th, in order to ease the server load following the release of update 2.0.
