Pokemon Go Mega Salamence Raid Guide- Counters, Weaknesses & Shiny Status
Mega Salemence is a Dragon and Flying-Type Pokemon, with a decent max CP and attacking stats. Considering its type combination, it is weak to Dragon, Fairy, Ice, and Rock-type moves. Likewise, it is resistant to Grass, Ground, Bug, Fighting, Fire, and Water-type moves. If you end up catching a Mega Salamence, the best moveset for it is considered to be Dragon Tail and Outrage, which is the case for other Dragon and Flying-type Pokemon as well. If you catch a Mega Salamence during windy weather, you will receive extra Stardust as a bonus.
If you are looking for a Shiny Mega Salamence instead, there is some good news as the shiny variant of the Pokemon is available in Pokemon Go. Instead of the regular pink and blue color palette, a shiny Mega Salamence is fluorescent green and brown in color. Considering its color palette, it shouldn’t be that difficult to differentiate between a regular and a shiny Salamence. However, given the odds of finding one, one might have a hard time getting their hands on a shiny Mega Salamence. Here are the best counters for Mega Salamence.
Counter Pokemon
Darmanitan
Ice Fang, Avalanche
Ice Shard, Avalanche
Powder Snow, Avalanche
Frost Breath, Avalanche

Like always, these are not the only Pokemon that are effective against Salamence, and one can use any Dragon, Fairy, Ice, and Rock-type which has decent CP. However, using other Pokemon could make your task slightly more difficult than usual.
