This system allows you to follow the paths of other players. Doing this will also allow you to gain rewards. Here’s a guide to doing it.

What Are Routes?
Routes are just paths that other players have created for you to follow. They allow players the opportunity to see how other players play the game and where they spend the most time.If you want tocreate a Route, it is pretty easy. All you need to do is select a Gym or PokeStop to use as a starting point and go from there. If approved, other players will be able to see where you walk and go during your Route.
How Do You Start Routes?
To start a Route, all you need to do is navigate to the Routes section of your menu. To do that, go to the Nearby Menu.This is where you may find the Pokemon and Raids that are nearby you. From there, you will see there is a new section called Route.Select that and then browse the Routes nearby, looking for whatever one you want to take.Once selected, you can follow the Route and gain some cool rewards.

All Route Rewards
While taking Routes, you will be able to gain some pretty cool rewards and bonuses. Considering some of them give you more Pokemon encounters, you may want to take aPokemon Go Plus+with you on your Route.Here is a list of the regular bonuses you will obtain if you participate in Routes.
In addition to all of this, while you are walking on a Route,you have a chance of encountering a Zygarde Cell. These Cells will allow you to change Zygarde’s form. You will be able to obtain Zygarde in the quest “From A to Zygarde.”
