Yesterday, on May 30, Sony finally revealed the State of Play event with several upcoming games from PlayStation, but some fans were not so happy with the event, saying that it was a disappointment.

Fans were not happy with the latest PlayStation’s State of Play.

Microsoft now has a very important opportunity to take the lead with the upcoming Xbox Summer Showcase on June 9. Sony has predicted that this year won’t see full AAA budget titles; the next big games will be released in 2025 or even in the upcoming year, and the owners ofGod of Warare focusing on a new strategy.

The Recent State of Play Was Not What Playstation Fans Were Hoping For

PlayStation introduced its latestState of Play, with 30 minutes of new trailersand new game releases. Among these new IPs wereConcord,Monster Hunter Wilds,Where Winds Meet,Silent Hill 2 Remake, and many others. One of the stars of the event was the rumored game from Team Asobi, Astro Bot, a new exclusive 3D platformer for PS5. But some fans were not so happy about these announcements.

The Xbox Summer Showcase could be introducing titles like the newDoom,Gears 6, a newHalo,Avowed, and other previously introduced exclusive titles. With the lack of announcements, there is room to take a significant advantage.

With four studios closed last month, the owners of Bethesda and Activision Blizzard are trying new strategies to bring new players to the Xbox ecosystem, including purchasing new hardware and using the popular service, Game Pass. Fans are expecting various games from the brand, and there is room for a ton of announcements that could help the brand recover some users from the competition.

After the Microsoft event ends,Call of Dutywill have its own presentation, where the first reveal of the story and possibly gameplay will take place.Black Ops 6will be released at the end of the year and will include a zombie mode, multiplayer, and the long-awaited story mode. This game will also be the first title in the Activision Blizzard franchise to be available on Game Pass Day 1.
