Their ability to lift objects that would otherwise require multiple Pikmin to carry is a game-changer, streamlining the collection of treasures and aiding players inachieving 100% completion.
The sheer force of a thrown Purple Pikmin is enough tostun enemies, allowing you to strategize and overcome even the most formidable foes. Their immense strength, though, comes at the cost of their speed, requiring careful planning during expeditions. Thankfully, farming these powerful allies is relatively easy, enabling you to build a sizable army swiftly.
Where To Farm Purple Pikmin
To farm purple Pikmin there arethree locationsyou can explore. The first one would be theEngulfed Castle, located in theSerene Shores. By swimming in the waters you may find the entrance to the cavern. to farm freely and unlock the purple Pikmin you will have to complete all five sublevels.

This is also the place where you will haveto fight against the Waterwraith, so be prepared for a challenging fight. You can defeat this boss only after unlocking the purple creatures, until then do your best to avoid it.
Purple Candypops In Engulfed Castle
When you enter thefifth sublevelof the Engulfed Castle, you will be able to unlock for the first time, or farm for more purple Pikmin. There are going to be twoPurple Candypopson each side of the room. These purple flowers allow you to change any Pikmin type into purple.
Exchange types you don’t mind losing, for example, Ice Pikmin. You can redo this process as many times as you want, or until you have the wanted amount of the little purple guys. In each descent remember to break the eggs found in the corner, as they provide the necessary sap to continue the exchange.
Purple Candypops In Subterranean Swarm Cave
The second location you should take advantage of is theSubterranean Swarm Cavelocated inPrimordial Thicket. This cavern can provide you with not only Purple Pikmin but White as well. You can also find 13 treasures and 2 castaways.

Inside the first sublevel of the cave, you’re able to already findtwo Candypops, which will allow you to farm for the purple creatures. The first time you visit the cavern, make sure you have theGunk Busters, which will allow you to run around freely even if you step on a sticky mod. You should also have with you at least 10 White Pikmin and as many Rock ones as possible. Then, have a few extra unwanted types with you, which you will exchange for the desired purple.
Purple Onion At Your Base
If you do not want to run around caves searching for purple Candypops, you may try unlocking thePurple Onion. To receive it, you must complete the challengingTrial of the Sage Leafinside a cave located at theRescue Command Post. This trial consists often stageswith various Dandori challenges, enemies, and objectives.
To access the trial, though, you need to rescue Olimar first and finish hisShipwreck Tale. Once all stages are completed, including the final one, you will be rewarded with the Purple Onion. This essential item allows you toproduce unlimitednumbers of Purple Pikmin by collecting pellets and enemies and returning them to the base.
How To Collect The Gold Bar
To collect the alluringGold Barin Pikmin 4, you’ll need to follow a strategic approach due to its massive size, requiring the combinedstrength of 1,000 Pikminto carry. The bar is located high up in thePrimordial Thicket. To accomplish this daunting task, your key to success lies in the use of Purple Pikmin, known for their incredible strength.
There are two viable methods for obtaining the required strength. First, you can utilize100 Purple Pikmin, each possessing the power of ten regular Pikmin, adding up to precisely 1000. Alternatively, a more frugal approach involves combining90 Purple Pikmin, providing a strength of 900, with afully upgraded Oatchi, whose strength can reach 100. Once you have assembled your force, head to the Primordial thicket and claim the Gold Bar, one of the most valuable treasures in the game.
