Best Pals Against Marcus & Faleris

Faleris is aFire-type Pal,which means water will be your best friend in this fight. He will be strong against Grass and Ice types, so you’ll want to avoid using these types of Pals. Focus on leveling up a few of your Water-type Pals prior to attempting this boss.

While water type Pals will be more effective against this boss, take a look at thepassive skillswhenchoosing your team. If you can findHydromaniac or Lord of the Sea passive skills, this will help to boost any Water damage. These passive skills seem to be random, so it may be a hit or miss if you have a Water type with these skills.

Marcus & Faleris Attacks

While Faleris is a Fire type, he is also a Flying Pal with Electric attacks, which gives him a slight advantage when attacking. Most of the attacks do seem randomized with afew tell-tale signs of what’s to come. Faleris will also deal a couple Area of Effect (AoE) Fire and Electric moves. With these types of attacks, you will see ared perimetersignifying where the attack will deal damage.

Always keep one eye on Faleris to make sure an attack isn’t heading your way. Faleris and Marcus can move from one attack to another within a split second, so always be on guard andaware of your surroundings.

Spirit Fire

Fireballs that will explode after a short time create smaller fireballs that will continue forward.

It will shoot flaming arrows at an enemy it’s locked in on.

A fireball will explode, impacting a large area.

Ignis Blast

After leaning its head back and buliding up the charge, it will release a large ball of fire that is aimed right at an enemy.

Phoenix Flare

Faleris will burst into flame and shoot out a couple fiery tornadoes before launching itself forward to attack an enemy.

Lightning AoE

Faleris will stay in one place, flapping its wings while a red perimeter appears around it. It will then shoot scattering lightning bolts down in the red area.

Lightning Bolt Attack

A charged lightning ball will appear under Faleris' talons before a lighting beam shoots out at its enemy.

Strategy For Defeating Marcus & Faleris

Marcus and Faleris are very difficult to beat and havenearly 150,000 health. You will have to utilize your dodging skills quite frequently as it shoots both Fire and Electric attacks out. Do not stay in one spot for long; just keep moving. Once it has you in its sights, you will occasionally see a red circle around you, which will be the perimeter of the attack. you may also utilize the pillars around the area for cover.

Roll out of that perimeter and attack while it is in the middle of focusing on the spot it is focusing on. It is recommended to be,at the very least, level 38before going up against this boss, even with friends. Though the higher the level, the better chances you’ll have at defeating them. However, if you feel you have the skills to take it on at a lower level, you will want to bring a full party for evasive maneuvers.

When you’re running or rolling away, be sure to keep your eye on Faleris because it can come up on you quickly. If the focus is not on you,don’t waste your stamina, so you can use it to dodge future attacks. Make sure your Pals are full on health and at a higher level as well, because you will need their help to take this boss down. You can actually use your Pal to distract Faleris while attacking him from the opposite direction to deal the most damage.

You will want weapons that are built for distance, such as an assault rifle, bow, or crossbow. Faleris will remain in the sky for pretty much the entire fight. Theassault rifle can be unlocked at level 45and would be perfect for this fight. If you shoot Marcus, the boss will take additional damage, and it will help you defeat him faster. Don’t forget to equip a shield to help your defensive measures.
