Overlord Season 4 Episode 8 Recap
In the previous episode, we saw Demiurge and Robel Holy Kingdom discussing about trading with the Sorcerous Kingdom. Phillip is worried as his farmers are not able to produce as much food as Ainz’s, and as Ainz gives free food to the Holy Kingdom, Phillip’s finances are depleting at a high rate. Meanwhile, one of the food deliveries gets stolen, and all the doubts go on to Phillip.
When Albedo and Ainz start investigating Hilma, she notices that Ainz is taking all the blame for the theft on himself. This incident opens her eyes, and Hilma decides to become loyal to Ainz. Seeing the effect Ainz had on Hilma, Phillip also decides to offer his loyalty to him. Albedo explains that Phillip and his people were supposed to start a rebellion against the nobility, but he instead provoked the war, due to which Ainz couldn’t take control of the Re-Estize kingdom.
Ainz and all his allies blame Re-Estize for the theft of the shipment, and he sends a letter to the king declaring war on them. Re-Estize’s kingdom already knows that they cannot win this war, and their only hope is if Ainz shows mercy on them. King Ramposa arrives to meet Ainz and offers his head in exchange for being merciful to his kingdom.
