Customization has always been a core element in theWarhammer 40Kuniverse, and Saber Interactive’s upcomingSpace Marine 2is no exception. As the highly anticipated sequel inches closer to launch, the developer has revealed details about how players can personalize their Space Marines.

This customization system forSpace Marine 2that was recently revealed allows players to tailor their in-game avatars extensively. The level of detail shown has led many to call on other developers to take note of Saber Interactive’s efforts.
Space Marine 2 Just Keeps Getting Better
At the heart ofSpace Marine 2’s customization is the Armouring Hall. Players can select their class, equipment, perks, and, most importantly, customize their Space Marine’s armor.
Each class has a set of pre-made armor options that can be unlocked in PvE or PvP modes. The game allows you to mix and match different pieces like helms, pauldrons, and gauntlets so each player can uniquely dress in their style.

Other devs need to take notes. You guys rule!
A standout feature of the customization system is the Astartes Chapters tab. This option lets players select from presets representing various legendary Space Marine Chapters. From here, you can further personalize your armor with different paints, emblems, and color patterns.
“Still no word from Focus”: Pre-order Concerns Grow Among Space Marine 2 Physical Edition Fans
For those who prefer a more hands-on approach, the game also allows players to create their own custom designs. So, whether you are a fan of a specific Chapter or want to create something entirely unique,Space Marine 2has you covered.
Heretic Astartes, or Chaos Space Marines, are not left out of the customization options. Each class within this faction corresponds toa specific Traitor Legion, such as the Night Lords or World Eaters. The customization for Chaos Marines is slightly more restricted and focuses mainly on color and emblem changes.

While some fans have expressed disappointment at the limited armor customization for Chaos Marines,Saber Interactivehas hinted that more options may be added post-launch.
Every Player Can Look As Awesome As They Want While Slaying Tyranids
The Astartes Heraldry menu further offers unique elements for each Chapter. These include emblems, armor parts, and color schemes that players can unlock through game progression. On launch, over 30 different Chapters will have their colors and heraldry available, with more potentially coming in future updates.
Would be very nice to be able to customize the marine himself, so we can have lore accurate chapters. Pale or dark skins, fangs, bionics, so on.Just an update idea if it’s not in-game at release 🙂 can’t wait!

While some of these items are exclusive to the Season Pass, the majority will be accessible through regular gameplay. This decision is a major standout since cosmetic customization is oftenan afterthought or locked behind microtransactions.
“I want them all”: Space Marine 2 Fans Can’t Decide Which Power Armor Saber Interactive Should Include in Its Sequel
In addition to the expansive customization options, Saber Interactive has also confirmed thatSpace Marine 2will not feature microtransactions. But the game will receive cosmetic paid DLC post-launch, including weapon and character packs.
Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2is set to launch on August 04, 2025, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. With its release just weeks away, the detailed customization options will definitely be a part of the hype.
