Herschel “Guy” Beahm IV, popularly known as Dr DisRespect, is an infamous Twitch streamer with his share of disrespectful moments. After streaming Battle Royale titles likePUBGand severalCall of Dutytitles, Beahm soon gained popularity on Twitch. Streaming daily has always taken its toll on several well-known streamers on Twitch and YouTube.

Popular Streamer Dr. Disrespect could well be on his way to retiring from Twitch streaming.

That looks to be the case with Beahm, as he mentioned feeling rather monotonous playing similar titles for an extended period. Whether or not this means Dr DisRespect could soon think of hanging his boots is not clear, but it is clear that Beahm has started showing signs of fatigue after streaming for almost a decade.

Dr DisRespect Has Been Streaming for Almost a Decade

Before his streaming days, Beahm was hired by Sledgehammer Games, where he served as the Community Manager in 2011. He was soon promoted to Level Designer where he helped create severalCall of Duty: Advanced Warfaremultiplayer maps. He quit Sledgehammer Games in 2015 to start streaming full-time as a career.

Five years into his Twitch streaming career, DisRespect got himself banned on Twitch in June 2020, and it took him 42 days to have his ban revoked and get back to streaming on Twitch. Beahm has also won awards at the Esports Industry Awards and The Game Awards back in 2017 for Streamer of the Year and Trending Gamer, respectively.

After more than 9 years of streaming, in a recent chat, DisRespect spoke about the one thing he is lacking, which according to him is a “creative challenge.“. It was mentioned by him in an open interview with Champions Club back in 2022.

He explained how streaming on Twitch for 5 days a week, playing the same content is “not to say wearing me down, but just doesn’t feel creatively challenging enough.” He goes on to say he’s looking for the next level, though he isn’t sure of “what that outlet could be.“.

Dr DisRespect Could Still Continue Streaming Before Calling it a Day

Earlier this year, another popular Twitch streamer, Pokimane announced she was retiring from streaming to try new things beyond streaming. Turner “Tfue” Tenney, aFortnitestreamer, also quit last year, having felt the “grind to create content” was too much to carry on.

Though Disrespect hasn’t announced or hinted at retirement, the grind to create new content from streaming the same titles has been a major cause for concern for several streamers.Fortnite,PUBG, andCall of Dutyare some of the most-watched games on Twitch and are joined by new multiplayer titles that become massive hits, like the recently releasedPalworld.

Dr Disrespect was a Level Designer for Sledgehammer Games before starting his Streaming career.
