The recently releasedOne Piecemanga chapter 1117 has given fans one of the most anticipated fights in the history of the series. The chapter has witnessed the clash between Roronoa Zoro and the only swordsman among the Five Elders, Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro. Fans have been waiting for this moment since the introduction of the Five Elders in the series.
Although the chapter has only shared a glimpse of what Zoro vs. Nusjuro could look like fans are already hoping for more details about their battle in the upcoming chapters. This battle can bring a big change to the narrative ofOne Piece, as both Zoro and Nusjuro are two of the strongest swordsmen in the world.
However, according to the events ofOne PieceChapter 1117, the swordsman of the Straw Hat Pirate is at a big disadvantage because of the sword that Nusjuro carries. There is a high chance that Nusjuro has a Shodai Kitetsu blade, one of the 12 Supreme Grade swords possessed by some of the strongest characters like Mihawk, Roger, and Whitebeard.
Zoro’s Disadvantage Against V. Nusjuro
One Piecechapter 1117 sees Nami’s group running towards the Thousand Sunny to escape off Egghead Island, as Zoro and Jinbei are right behind them. However, as they are about to reach the ship, V. Nusjuro runs past them and is about to strike the Thousand Sunny. This would have stopped the Straw Hat Pirates from escaping the island.

However, as he is about to slash the ship,Zoro is thrown towards Nusjuroby Jinbei, and he uses his new attack called Nittouryuu: Rashomon to block V. Nusjuro’s sword. As soon as the swords of the two characters clash, Zoro notices that Nusjuro also has a Kitetsu sword, and there is something unusual about it.
Nusjuro is one of the strongest swordsmen in the world, and he is also the highest authority in the world government. There is a high chance that, like the other important characters such as Mihawk and Gol D. Roger, V. Nusjuro could possess the Shodai Kitetsu blade, which is much more powerful compared to Zoro’s Sandai Kitetsu sword.
The Kitetsu Swords inOne Piece
The Kitetsu swords are a series of swords crafted by the Kitetsu school in Wano. Each sword crafted by the Kitetsu swordsmith is considered cursed, as it brings death upon the wielder of the sword. There are only a few people in the world who can wield a Kitetsu sword and live long enough to subdue the curse.
There are three kinds of Kitetsu swords in the world. The Shodai Kitetsu is the strongest and is part of the 12 supreme-grade swords. Next comes the Nidai Kitetsu, which is part of the 21 great-grade swords and is second to the Shodai Kitetsu. And finally,the Sandai Kitetsu, which is part of the Grade Swords, and the third strongest sword in the Kitetsu sword series.

Currently, the Sandai Kitetsu and the Nidai Kitetsu swords have been shown in the series. Zoro possessed the Sandai Kitetsu, and the Nidai Kitetsu is kept hidden in the Wano country. The only Kitetsu sword left is the Shodai Kitetsu, which is likely being wielded by V. Nusjuro, which is not a good thing for Zoro.
