Very little is known about Loki’s true intentions inOne Piecesince he only just made his physical appearance. Before the Elbaph Arc, the first mention of him occurred in the Whole Cake Island Arc where there was a potential alliance between Elbaph and the Big Mom Pirates.

Despite Big Mom’s reputation in Elbaph and her killing of Jorul who was considered a hero amongst the giants, a marriage between Charlotte Lola and Loki was arranged and could’ve united the two clans. However, Lola escaped and any hope for one vanished.
While this depicted a softer side of Loki, it doesn’t explain why King Harald would’ve allowed any union with Big Mom. Despite being “wise,” this would go against Elbaph’s wishes.

One Piecefans have theorized that King Harald might not be as great as the giants thought, and Loki might have been forced into the marriage.
Was King Harald the villain all along?
Chapter 1136 of theOne Piecemanga explains a bit more about King Harald’s relationship with Loki. It also shows us the first-ever glimpse of his appearance and personality.
King Harald was a wise person who preferred peace over war. He wanted to turn the reputation of Elbaph as a violent country into a peaceful nation. He isn’t around anymore, thanks to Loki but we still don’t know why he did it.

One Piece: Loki Is a Sun God Too if Vegapunk’s Theory Is True, But It’s Quite Different from What Luffy Stands For
ThisOne Piecetheory on Reddit, however, counters the personality the giants described in Chapter 1136.
While King Harald’s intentions with the marriage alliance could be to bury the hatchet with Big Mom, the mere association would be disrespectful to Elbaph. Perhaps in the pursuit of peace, he was willing to do anything to achieve it, even if it meant marrying his son off.

This theory then implies Loki was never into Charlotte Lola, which goes against what we know. However, it is all about perspective and we still don’t know Loki’s side.
Trust in Luffy, Loki isn’t a bad guy inOne Piece
The first impression of Loki doesn’t exactly defend this “not a villain” theory. However, inOne Piece,it’s always best to not judge a book by its cover and this applies to the Prince too. In the latest chapter, Loki is recruited by the God’s Knights.
He rejects the offer andthe two Knights kill his wolf companion. While he is saddened by his death, he accepts death like a champion and vows to avenge him. Loki, through this exchange, displays exceptional morals and will.

He would never resort to associating with “scum.” In his eyes, Big Mom might have been the exact type he didn’t want to align with but, since she wasn’t a Celestial Dragon, he complied. However, the marriage might have opened his eyes to his father’s loose morals.
Loki’s perspective seems very different from his father’s pacifist point of view. In Chapter 1136, the giants say that Loki has always been an arsonist.
Loki might not have only been afterhis father’s Devil Fruitbut he’s possibly after every figure of authority. Maybe he did the world ofOne Piecea favor orhe’s innocent and is being framed. It could be the destruction he’s after is the destruction of the World Government. We can only wait and see.
