The recently concluded Egghead Island arc inOne Piecewas one of the most crucial arcs because it revealed some of the biggest mysteries in the series. From Vegapunk’s message to the Five Elders’ powers, Egghead opened up a lot of new information for fans, but along with that, it also raised a few more questions. One of the biggest questions was who gave food to Luffy during his battle.
InOne Piecechapter 1103, when the war of Egghead was at its peak, Luffy suffered the biggest drawback of his Gear 5 transformation. He depleted all his energy and was rendered useless. He was desperate for food, and while there was no way he could have gotten some food during the battle, the next panel of the manga showed him stuffing himself up with food that mysteriously appeared.
This raised the biggest question for fans about who would give food to Luffy in the middle of the battle. While there were many speculations in the beginning, Eiichiro Oda, the creator ofOne Piece, has finally dropped the hint that it was actually Kizaru. However, by revealing this, Oda has put Akainu in a difficult situation.
Eiichiro Oda Solves The Biggest Mystery of Egghead
The only major drawback of Luffy’s Gear 5 is that it consumes plenty of energy for Luffy to maintain and use. The depletion of energy makes Luffy look aged when he transforms back to his original form. The only way for Luffy to get back his energy is by eating lots of food and recharging himself. But in battle situations, finding food to eat is not so easy.

The same thing happened during Egghead when Luffy was fighting Kizaru, Saturn, and the rest of the Navy. During the battle, Luffy suddenly transformed back to his original form, but he looked aged because of the Gear 5 drawback. He was desperately searching for food, and it was later revealed that someone secretly fulfilled his wish, and it became the biggest mystery.
Recently, in the SBS ofOne Piecevolume 110, Oda decided to reveal some major details about this mystery by dropping big hints.

The mangaka pointed out that whoever dropped food for Luffy must have done it at a speed of “light,” as they were never recognized. This clearlypointed at Admiral Kizaru, who possesses the Pika Pika no Mi.
Akainu Might Be in a Difficult Situation
Eiichiro Oda’shint about Kizaru being the one who gave Luffy food during the Egghead battle inOne Pieceis quite a big revelation. He clears a lot of things about Kizaru’s character and the way he views justice. It also points out that although he had to kill Vegapunk, he was still silently rooting for the Straw Hat Pirates to win and save everyone.
While this clears Kizaru from all the allegations about him being evil, it doesn’t work well for Akainu. Out of all three Admirals from the past, Akainu is now all alone, as Aokiji has joined the Blackbeard Pirates, and Kizaru is rooting for the Straw Hats to win inOne Piece. Itnow falls on Akainu to fulfill his hatredagainst the pirates.

Akainu is now in a difficult situation because of this revelation, and the way his character is portrayed in the series, it doesn’t look like he will be swayed by the charm of Straw Hats like Kizaru. He might have to face the Straw Hat Pirates alone inOne Piece,but even then he is strong enough to hold them off.
