My Hero Academiais currently one of the reigning kings of the shonen manga world because of Kohei Horikoshi’s beautiful story. Not only does the series have the best action and tear-jerker moments, but it also has some of the best comedy scenes.

A single search for ‘funny MHA moments’ would yield endless compilation videos of comic moments. So of course, fans love returning to those scenes. There’s one iconic battle in the manga that is loved due to how absurd and funny it is and fans can’t wait for it to get animated.
Why did Mirio Call Shigaraki Friendless inMy Hero Academia?
Chapters 360-361 ofMy Hero Academiatake place during the Final War Arc of the manga. Just when everyone is struggling against Shigaraki, Mirio joins the fight and does something that no one else could. Mirio’s commentshit Shigaraki so hardthat he is forced to break his character and go on a rant.
Deku’s Quest for Shigaraki’s Redemption in My Hero Academia Could Blow Up in His Own Face
While battling Shigaraki, Mirio asks him why he has to break everything. The villain answers that it’s because the current systems have failed miserably. Thus, prompting Mirio to say:
So you never had any friends. Y’know how I know that? Because if you did, you’d know some things should never be broken.

Finally, this breaks Shigaraki and he forcefully admits that he has friends. He claims that Mi-ku and Tomo-chan say he is a really good boy while Mon-chan always looks forward to going out with him. Shigaraki then shouts:
Of course, I haveREALfriends!
His outburst is so loud that Mirio is stunned for a second and even apologizes to the man. Mirio’s confusion is very apt in the scene because when people have friends, they have things they want to cherish. Thusdestroying everythingis not an option for them. If Shigaraki had friends, he would have understood that not everything can be destroyed. So in Mirio’s eyes, Shigaraki has nothing that he cherishes.
Why did Kohei Horikoshi Make Shigaraki Outburst?
According to a fan theory, the League of Villains has grown as a closely knitted group and it is evident from Shigaraki’s claims. They trust in each other and have grown attached, but they fail to be real friends with each other. They have no idea about each other, other than their trauma. They are allangry and hurtand are striving towards one goal with tunnel vision.
Shigaraki knows this and is trying hard to fool himself into thinking that he has found a family. When deep down he knows that the League of Villains is a loosely connected team who have no idea what the others are thinking beyond their duties.

“If I ever get around to it”: Kohei Horikoshi’s Bonkers ‘My Hero Academia’ Sequel Idea is So Crazy it Just Might Work
The statement by Mirio is a wake-up call for Shigaraki. It made Shigaraki glimpse the reality for a second, which he did not like, and ended up bursting at Mirio instead. His following dialogues are suddenly very childish and could make anyone laugh since he suddenly talks like a child.
The scene is highly anticipated byMy Hero Academiafans and not just for its comic element but because of how secretly heart-wrenching the plot is.
