Players looking for Iron Ore might find it somewhat difficult to locate as it only spawns in very specific realms under certain conditions. Here is everything you need to know about how to get it.
Iron Ore Location
Iron Ore deposits can only be found in the Swamp biomes. A level40 Mining Pickis a requirement to mine Iron Ore which means you’ll need a Refined variant of the Mining Pick to get the job done, a Simple one won’t do.Refined tools can be crafted at a Refined Workbench(recipe available at Provisioner Realm Essence Traders).
Look for rocky areas like mountains, beaches, rocky outcrops, and caves to find ore deposits.
Iron nodes are rust colored and pockmarked with black dots. If you’re not already in a Swamp biome, I would suggest creating a Crude Portal in your home base and playing the swamp card with any realm above Provisioner. Step through the realm portal, collect as many ores as possible, fast travel home, dump all the ores in a chest, and repeat.
Tips For Farming Iron Ore
The Trickster Minor Realm Card shuffles the drop loot tables. If played, killing animals will drop ores, and mining ores will drop animal hides. This can be a viable way to passively increase your stash if you’re not looking for something specific.
