While the past few months have been quite eventful forPokemon Gofans, with a series of updates and events taking place, some of them have proven to be quite controversial. For instance, the most recent backlash was due to the Adventure Week event, as fans despised its various aspects.

Although Niantic is trying its best to make up for the community, it seems it’s under the scanner once again. Players believe the studio is trying to fool players with the recentPokemon Gostore pricing changes.
Trainers Slam Niantic’s Fake Discounts in Pokemon Go
Pokemon Go‘s latest update has brought many changesand bug fixes to the game. However, it also brought a surprising change to the in-game app shop, which has left gamers absolutely confused.
“Niantic, please fix the…”: Some of Pokemon Go’s Community Seem Intent on Making the Game a Terrible Experience for Everyone Else
The update has brought discount labels for variousPokemon Goitems, but it has not included any kind of price adjustments. Rather, Pokecoins for items such as Hatch Boxes, Star Pieces, and Premium Battle Passes have been changed to reflect how much money trainers can save by purchasing bundles.
However, the problem with this change is that trainers already know about the true value of these items and their prices. Gamers on Reddit believe the label is a trick by Niantic to give a false sense of discount and outright scam players to spend more.

Many players also believe that it’s the start of Niantic trying to increase the prices of various items in thePokemon Gostore. Although the studio has not indicated it plans to raise prices for any items available in the store, they’ve done it previously, and that raises player concern.
Considering the fact thatNiantic has been on a roll recently with bringing actual decent changesto the game instead of actively trying to ruin it, it’s disappointing to see the developer resorting to such tricks. It’s nothing but a bad move by the studio, which is already reputed as one of the worst companies by gamers.
