Season 1 ofNBA 2K23is officially a wrap, which means it’s almost time for the launch of Season 2. Earlier this week, a new patch was deployed for last-generation and current-generation consoles, preparing for the release of the new season later this week.According to the officialpatch notesreleased byVisual Concepts, Season 2 of NBA 2K23 will release on Friday, October 21st at 8AM PT / 11AM ET / 4PM BST. Console players won’t need to download a new patch, as the update that was released this week includes all of the content for Season 2. NBA 2K23’s second season will star none other than Devin Booker as players follow in his trail to earn a plethora of new rewards.Visual Concepts states that the new season of NBA 2K23 is “going to feel like the Wild West, with the Phoenix Suns, Dallas Mavericks, and more hoping to strike gold by lifting the Larry O’Brien Trophy”.

Season 2 will also include updates to MyCareer mode, the developers state that “Season 2 is decked out with thematic Wild West courts and artwork, setting the stage for some high-scoring shootouts. Challenge the competition and earn XP to redeem for all-new rewards, including new jumpshot meters and releases, a Skeleton outfit, and a Level 40 Jabbawockeez outfit”.

There’s also some new content coming to MyTeam, including new rewards, events, moments, and the very first Dark Matter cards will make their way into MyTEAM.
