One of the last representatives of the Uchiha Clan in Masashi Kishimoto’sNaruto, Sasuke Uchiha serves as the perfect rival for the protagonist Naruto. His need to grow strong and defeat his brother, who killed his clan and then later on revolutionized the entire Shinobi world, makes him one of the best-written characters of the series.

However, a large faction ofNarutofans find Sasuke to be irritating and annoying. Despite being one of the most important characters in the series, Sasuke’s goals and his arrogance as a Shinobi make him look unlikable as a character. While these aspects contribute to his annoying character, there is one more trait that is the main reason behind fans’s hate towards Sasuke.
This trait is his inability to understand anyone else’s pain. Although his suffering is understandable considering his past, it doesn’t give him the right to overlook others and their pain. Thus, fans have developed a sense of irritation towards Sasuke’s actions inNaruto.

Sasuke Had One of The Worst Fate inNaruto
WhenNarutostarted, Sasuke was seen as a silent and angered individual who didn’t portray much interest in others. He was only focused on learning techniques and becoming a strong shinobi. Fans later get a glimpse at his past, where he was seen as a cheerful and positive character, but one incident changed him forever.

This incident involved his elder brother Itachi Uchiha massacring his entire clan, including his parents, and only leaving him behind. Sasuke was devastated to the point thatit broke him completely. He then decided to kill his brother himself and take revenge for his clan. But his plan couldn’t work as he thought it would because Itachi was insanely stronger than him.
Seeing Itachi’s unmeasurable power, Sasuke decided to leave his friends and pursue Orochimaru, who could have made him a better Shinobi in a short amount of time. Ultimately, Sasuke became strong enough to defeat Itachi, but he found out that Itachi did everything for Konoha. Thus, he questioned the principles of being a shinobi and decided to change them completely by taking matters into his own hands.

Sasuke’s Suffering Made Him Ignorant
Sasuke’s life was undoubtedly filled with a lot of suffering compared to other characters. He had to go through all that as a child, and there was no one for him to confide in. Or that’s what he believed. Itachi’s betrayal of Sasuke made him vary from everyone else around him. This is why he couldn’t understand what others were going through.
Sasuke felt that his pain and suffering were the biggest, and no one else could understand what he was going through.

He believed that because he had no one else to rely on, his goals and his pains were his alone to take care of. Thus,he became ignorant of everyonearound him.

So much so that he refused to acknowledge others helping him and decided to go lone wolf in order to get strong. This kind of attitude was not liked by a majority ofNarutofans, who thus deemed him the “Jar Jar Binks ofNaruto“, as he is the most irritating character in theStar Warsfranchise, according to its fans.
