Running out of inventory space is always a bit of a bummer, but someDiablo 4players are finding the problem only gets exacerbated when their characters won’t shut up about it, and they’re sounding off.

Reddit user Dillyoh87 recentlybrought up the topic, saying “Anyone else have their character say ‘my bags are full’ or ‘I can’t carry anymore’ when they approach a vendor in specific towns? Didn’t know if it was just me or if it’s a well known bug. Obviously doesn’t change anything, it’s just annoying lol.”

Based on a number of other people’s responses, it seems to be a common problem with no legitimate fix in sight, although there are workarounds (more on that below), as simply approaching the blacksmith or other shopkeepers will cause player characters to blurt out “My burden is too great” or another variation on that theme. Thebug has been reportedmultiple times on Diablo 4’s official forums in the days since the game’s release at the beginning of June. While it’s true that the extra commentary coming from the player characters isn’t anything game-breaking, there seems to be a lot of players who are united in their frustration, or at the very least, annoyingly amused.

Fortunately, for anyone who’s irritated with the whiny banter popping up at unnecessary times, there is a fix available in game, and several people were quick to point it out. If you’re among that number, you’re able to simply turn off the alerts. To do so, you’ll need to star by entering the Game Options menu, then choosing Audio and scrolling down to the bottom of the page, where the final option will give you the ability to either turn off the alerts altogether or set them to “Simple,” which will stop the character from speaking to you but will still keep the alerts active.

Despite that minor annoyance, Diablo 4 is still one on the biggest games of the year. Our Emma Ward enjoyed it,giving it an 8.5 of of 10, and it’s performing very admirably across the Internet as well, with MetaScores ranging from 87 to 91 across different platforms.
