Out of all the newly added and introduced features inMonster HunterWilds, the standout one among a few has to be the addition of Pop-up Camps.
These allow you to create camps at different points of each biometo take a break and re-stock yourself during your hunts or expeditionswithout returning all the way back to the Base Camp.

Dragon’s Dogma 2: How To Make Camp
Making camp is a great way to cook food and replenish party health in Dragon’s Dogma 2, and we can show you how to do it!
They can be set up easily through different means but are also prone to destruction depending on a certain condition. And the best part? These Pop-up Camps are readily accessible and even customizable.

In this guide forMonster Hunter Wilds,I’ll be discussing when you can access these Pop-up Camps and how you can set them up and customize them.
How To Unlock & Set Up Pop-Up Camps
You’ll unlock the option to create Pop-up Camps once you hunt the Congalalav for the first time during the ‘Forest Findings’ quest in the Low Rank.
When exploring, the Pop-up Camp locations in each locale will bemarked by glowing Quatreflies when you come across any of them,as shown in one of the images above.

After that, it’s just a case of using the Camping Kit for your item bar to set it up there and spending a small sum of Research Points to pay for its construction.
Now, here’s the neat part:you may also set these up and manage them freely by talking to the Support Desk or Pop-up Camp Meowster NPCs back in the Base Camp.

Or, if you’ve already set up camp out in the world, there’s a handy technician at your camp known as the Pop-up Camp Purrofessional—yes, the series loves its puns on the Felynes.
It’s generally better to use Pop-up Camps in just a couple of spots in the area to make back-and-forth travel a breeze.

Lastly, as I mentioned initially,Pop-up Camps inMHWildsare subject to destruction depending on one main condition: their safety level.
The easier-to-find camps are more vulnerable to Monster attacks, while the hidden ones are generally safe and won’t get destroyed when some time passes.
And don’t worry, destroyed camps are repaired automatically over time, but if you want them instantly repaired, you’ll need to spend Guild Points to do that.
How To Customize Pop-Up Camps
InMonster Hunter Wilds, you may accessorize most of your operational Pop-up Camps to your preference by talking to the Purrofessional at each camp individually or the Camp Mewoster in the Base Camp.
For customizing your Pop-up Camp for the first time, you’ll receive the Glamper trophy/Achievement.
And let me tell you, the customization options with these are surprisingly in-depth compared to my low expectations at first glance when checking it out for the first time.
It’s simpler than you think:You can customize the camp exterior layout by adding various options, such as a full bonfire, sitting area, tables, banners, and other decorations near the entrance.
You can even adjust the tent’s coloring and choose from different cloth designs to make each one unique or to your liking.
If you want to manage or edit multiple tents at a time,it’s best to do that at the Pop-up Camp Meowster, which allows you to check each camp you’ve put across every biome.
