Monster Hunter Wildswill keep you engaged in several hunts, from hunting apex predators likeRey Dauto even flying wyverns like the notoriousRathalos.
But one annoying obstacle you might face during these excursionsis when other monsters in the locale crash your partyamidst the main hunt.

Monster Hunter Wilds: How to Get Aqua Sac
This guide covers how to get Aqua Sac in Monster Hunter Wilds.
This can be a headache, becausealthough these additional monsters can damage your target and even have a turf war under the right conditions, fighting becomes chaotic, especially in cramped spaces or against tougher monsters.

This is why my guide today will discuss how you’re able to lure these unwanted monsters away inMonster Hunter Wildsso you can continue on the hunt for your actual target peacefully.
Use Dung Pods & Large Dung Pods
To lure unwanted monsters away in Monster Hunter Wilds, you’ll need to useDung Pods, and the newly introducedLarge Dung Pod.
Make sure to have them in your item pouch before embarking on the hunt, and then equip them to your slinger via the item bar or whichever shortcut you’ve assigned them via the radial menu.

On some occasions, the Dung Pods might not work on certain monsters. When this happens, it’s best to just wait it out until the opposing monster flees the area momentarily, which they typically end up doing in most cases.
Here’s the key difference to remember:Normally, Dung Pods are used on single monsters to make them flee the area, while Large Dung Pods are used on a herd of monsters to disperse them all at once.

The Large Dung Pod has an area of effect (AOE), so verify to deploy it in the center of the ground where the herd is to efficiently separate them.
Most notably, you’ll use the Large Dung Podswhen fighting pack monsters like a group of Doshaguma, Hirabami, or a flock of Yian Kut-Ku.

Especially against the Hirabami, if you don’t separate them and hunt one as your main target, then good luck differentiating and fighting these floating monsters as they gang up on you.
Monster Hunter Wilds: How to Customize the Seikret
This guide covers how to customize the Seikret in Monster Hunter Wilds.
How To Craft Dung Pods & Large Dung Pods
Dung Pods are craftable viamonster dung. They don’t have exact locations to farm them indefinitely, but you’ll find them across regions at various spots on the mapwhen exploring during your hunts or expeditions.
you’re able to also get Rolled-up Dung from Dung Beetles, found in almost every locale, like the Windward Plains.
Meanwhile, Large Dung Pods will require Dung andNitroshroom. You can find Nitroshrooms all over the Scarlet Forest,as shown in the image above.
It is also worth mentioning that you can only have 5 Large Dung Pods at a time in your item pouch, which is fine since it’s a situational item to use in Wilds that you shouldn’t needallthe time.
How To Craft & Use The Luring Pod
One last thing I’d like to mention is theLuring Pod,which allows you to attract and lure monsters to your location. These essentially have the opposite effect of the usual Dung Pods.
The difference here is that these arebest used when you want Tier 1 or 2 monsters to engage against larger onesin your hunt for momentary distraction or breathing room.
You’ll be introduced to these during your hunt against the Jin Dahaad, where you’ll have an optional objective to lure a pack of Hirabami to your location and maintain Jin Dahaad’s aggro.
So if you find yourself fancying a royal rumble of sorts with other monsters in the mix, go ahead and launch a luring pod at a nearby monster to make it a temporary all-out brawl.
At times, there are definite benefits to luring a monster to a specific location instead of causing them to flee entirely.
