TheSP-R 208is one of the many returning weapons inModern Warfare 2, making its first appearance inCall Of Duty: Modern Warfare. Thishigh-powered Marksman Rifleis favored among the community due to itshigh damage and high mobility. The SP-R 208 is also the base gun of its respective Weapon Platform. Through its progression, you can unlock the SA-B 50, the LA-B 330, and the SP-X 80.

TheSP-R 208possesses thehighest recoil control and accuracyamong all the Marksman Rifles in the game. Although its damage is not the best of its weapon type, it is still capable ofperforming one-shot killswhen they are delivered to the head and upper torso. The SP-R 208’s damage range is also considerably low in comparison tothe best Snipers in Modern Warfare 2. However, where it lacks in range, it makes up for in mobility.

The attachments we have chosen willgreatly increase the range and accuracyof the SP-R 208, along with providing aslight increase in damage and fire rate. However, this is at the cost of minimal recoil control, mobility, and handling.
For your first attachment, go ahead and equip the23.5'' FLUTED R-67 barrel.This will providemore damage range and bullet velocity,thus allowing the SP-R 208 to hit one-shots more consistently at longer ranges. This barrel also provides better movement speed, thus keeping the weapon’s mobility considerably high. Next, go ahead and equip theFSS OLE-V LASER and the AIM-ASSIST 406.Doing so will keep the ADS reductions of other attachments minimal, while also improving your sprint-to-fire speed. This way, you may get your weapon up andfire considerably faster after sprinting.
Now, it’s time to choose an optic. TheSP-X 80 6.6Xis a great choice for providing abetter precision picturein engaging players who are farther away. This optic can also toggle from 6.6x magnification to 11.0x magnification, thus making it a perfect choice for taking into Battle Royale. Lastly, go ahead and equip theFSS ST87 BOLTto increase your fire rate. This will make the SP-R 208 more viable forchaining multiple eliminationsin quick succession.

Bomb Squad & Battle Hardened
For your regular Multiplayer loadout, we recommend creating a custom Perk Package. First, fill your Base Perk slots withBomb Squad and Battle Hardened toincrease your resistance to both tactical and lethal equipment. Battle Hardened is great for shrugging off Stun and Flash Grenades in the heat of battle, thus allowing you to reengage much sooner than you would without it. Bomb Squad will prove helpful in countering enemy Drill Charges, Frag Grenades, and Semtex Grenades, preventing players from flushing you out of key vantage points.
Your Bonus Perk should most definitely beFocus. Focus will reduce the flinch you experience by taking damage while in ADS. This allows you to bemore accurate while scoped inwhich is incredibly important for remaining accurate and landing the final blow on an enemy. For your final perk, chooseGhostto counter enemy UAVs bykeeping you off enemy minimapswhile they are active. This will free up space to carry a swap-to-secondary instead of a launcher.
For your Warzone 2 loadout, you will have to choose a preset Perk Package, meaning that you might not be able to run some of the perks previously mentioned. However, if you are creating a custom SP-R 208 loadout for Battle Royale, then consider our two Perk Package recommendations. For Warzone 2, it’d be best to carry a versatileAssault Rifleto keep you covered in almost any situation. Such a weapon will prove useful forfighting opponents up close and from afar, especially in situations where the SP-R 208 is not the best option.The M4andthe TAQ-56are great choices in this regard due to their consistent stats.
