Mob Psychois one of the most prolific anime of the decade. It has incredible storytelling, intense world-building, and some of the medium’s most emotionally charged scenes you’ll ever see. It is a modern classic that deserves more of the spotlight.

10 Best Anime To Watch If You Like Mob Psycho 100

Mob Psycho 100 has ended, but there are several other anime TV shows with a similar vibe that you can enjoy.

One aspect of the anime that makes it stand out from its competition is the way it molds its characters. Good character development isn’t just limited to the main character. Every minor character changes throughout the show. The narrative of these characters is inspiring, well-thought, and honestly quite moving.

10Dash Granny: Demonic Human

Appearing in the Urban Legends arc, the Dash Granny is just a regular old lady who loves running in the neighborhood. According to the urban legend, she runs after her victims and strangles them from behind. However, she does no such thing in reality.

Dash Granny’s demonic appearance and inhumane running speed are likely why the rumor around her started. Her speed and stamina were so much higher than Mob’s that it left him scarred.

9Minori Asagiri: The Spoiled Brat

Appearing in the first season of Mob Psycho, Minori is one of Mob’s classmates who gets possessed by a strong evil spirit. In the show, she is shown to be a cruel bully who looks down on others, but after Mob saves her, she has an emotional breakdown and seemingly changes for the better.

Minori’s story is a good sample of the overarching narrative that the anime weaves around its characters. Nobody is beyond redemption, and everyone can change for the better. Revenge isn’t the cure; it’s the cause. The medicine to hurt isn’t to hurt back but to forgive and appreciate what you have.

8Tsubomi Takane: Childhood Crush

One of the most important people in Mob’s life, but also perhaps the least present one, Tsubomi, is Mob’s childhood crush. She is a pretty girl who hides her emotions from others and doesn’t seem to care too much about the others in her class.

Tsubomi’s character isn’t very well explored in the anime. She is shown to be an intelligent and motivated individual, managing to trick even Reigen. She isn’t impressed by Mob’s psychic powers, which leads to him devaluing his abilities, something that persists to this day.

7Ichi Mezato: Cultist Stalker

One of Mob’s classmates and an incredibly nosy individual, Ichi Mezato, plays a part in increasing the popularity of the Psycho Helmet Cult. She finds out that Mob is the one everyone is looking for but decides to respect his decision not to get involved.

10 Best Anime By Bones: Studio Behind Mob Psycho 100

Studio Bones has given us several popular anime shows, but here are some of the best ones you should definitely watch.

She is a journalist at heart, often putting her health on the line for her work. She is headstrong and quick-witted, making her an excellent writer. Her high perception is part of what makes her so fun to watch.

6Teruki Hanazawa: Reformed Villain

One of the first villains that Mob encounters, Teruki, is a fellow psychic who used to look down on others and use them as he saw fit. After being defeated by Mob and seeing his attitude despite how powerful he is, Teruki converts for the better. Talk no Jutsu strikes again!

Teruki is a very involved character in the anime. He appears in basically every arc and becomes a close friend of Mob and a part of his group. He also leads a research team that’s trying to cultivate psychic powers in young children.

5Ritsu Kageyama: Talented Brother

Ritsu is everything Mob wants to be. He’s studious and intelligent, he’s popular in school, and he is a high achiever. Despite being admired by his brother, Ritsu is initially incredibly jealous of his brother’s powers, leading to him developing an inferiority complex and getting possessed by Dimple.

After Mob beats some sense into him and has a heart-to-heart conversation, Ritsu realizes his mistakes and becomes a better person. In case you didn’t notice, there are a lot of redemption stories in Mob Psycho.

4Dimple: Not-So Evil Spirit

Speaking of redemption stories, Dimple is perhaps the most compelling one of them all. Going from cult leader to side-kick of the main character isn’t a smooth transition, but Dimple makes it work, somehow.

Heavenly Delusion: 10 Best Characters

Heavenly Delusion introduced us to several amazing and mysterious characters, but here are some of the best ones in the series.

His character arc is one of the more interesting ones in the show. His ambitions clash with his attachments, leading tothe intense showdownbetween him and Mob in the third season.

3Keiji Mogami: Lost Anti-Hero

Keiji is a reflection of who Mob could’ve been if he didn’t have the people he does in his life. A kind-hearted individual at first, Keiji used his psychic powers for the betterment of his fellow people. Later, tragedy struck, and his good actions came to bite him in the back, leading him to lose faith in humanity as a whole.

As a cursed spirit, Keiji is incredibly powerful and uses that power to punish evil as he sees fit. His moral compass is completely out of wack, with him mutilating a young girl’s body and killing multiple people. His rhetoric directly opposes Mob’s innocence and insistence on believing the best in people.

2Mob: Overpowered Child

Mob is a unique main character. He doesn’t go through training arcs to become more powerful, he doesn’t go on adventures to find treasure, and he doesn’t like fighting. All he wants is to find love and become more physically fit.

Mob, aka Shigeo Kageyama, is incredibly socially awkward and clueless about how much worth his psychic powers are. He is very simple-minded, but that’s one of his most compelling character traits. Hisblind trust in his master, his unconditional love for his friends, and his humble attitude regarding his incredible strength are the traits that make him likable as a main character.

1Reigen: Disingenuous Master

Reigen is many things: an irresponsible adult, a conniving con artist, a hoax psychic, and a selfish teacher. But most importantly, he isMob’s friend and closest confidant. His relationship with Mob is almost parasitic at first, with him using the eighth grader’s powers for his benefit. However, as the show progresses, so does his relationship with Mob.

He is a good person at heart who gets lost on the road of life at times but gets back on track when pushed to his extreme. His character arc is most definitely the best in the entire series, and he deserves to be the star of the show.
