But how do you effectively lead your army?Minecraft Legends has a unique banner systemthat allows you tocontrol the movement of your units, allowing for some elaborate placements and tactics. This guide will help you learn how to use this system, so you can command your army and lead them to victory.
The Basic Commands
While playing, you will have quick access to two basic commands that you may give to your units at the press of a button. While these commands don’t give you the same level of control as the advanced commands, they’re invaluable options when you need to quickly move your forces around in the heat of the battle.
Triggered by pressing thecross button on your controller, the Hero waves their banner around and creates a small circle around them.Friendly units in this circle will proceed to follow youand will attempt to attack enemies and enemy structures close to you. You’lllikely want to press this first command after spawning in new units.

This is a vital command for mobilizing your forces while exploring. It is also a great tool to have when your allies have trouble finding the right path to go and your other commands are just getting them stuck, as this will allow you to lead them manually. Just be careful and ensure that you’re not leading them into dangerous terrain.
Note that you have a limited amount of units you can rally around yourself at a time.If you want to rally more units, you’ll have to build an improvement structure for your banner, which will cost you some stones and prismarine.

You can also rally random mobs that you find in the wilds to your cause! Simply go up to them and press rally, and the mobs will start following you around. They’ll follow your other commands and do not add to your army limit, so be sure to pick up these volunteer fighters whenever you can.
Press thetriangle button on your controllerto use this. This command places a flag in front of where you’re facing and makes the surrounding units charge toward the flag. The units who receive this command will stay in the position where the flag was placed after arriving and even after defeating enemies present there.

This can be very useful if you want your forces to attack enemies without having to directly engage yourself or if you want to strategically place your units in advantageous terrain. If you want them to go back to following you, however,be sure to rally them if you want them to resume following you.

The Advanced Commands
A step up from the basic commands, the advanced commands will let you greatly expand the range of tactics and maneuvers available to you.By pressing the right trigger, the camera will change its perspective to give you a better view of the battlefield.Instead of controlling your character, you’ll be given control of a cursor that can navigate around the field. You’ll be using this cursor to give your unit directions with advanced commands.
Your hero cannot attack while the advanced commands view is active, so it’s generally a good idea to move away from spots where there are a lot of enemies before you start issuing commands.

Unit Selection
In the left-hand corner of the screen, you will seea menu listing the different unit categories and types that are currently fighting for you.You can use D-pad directions left and right bumpers to change categories and up and down to change the type of unit selected. This allows you to distribute commands to only the selected category or type of unit.
Because each unit has different abilities, ranges, and specific enemies they’re designed to fight against, good use of this aspect of advanced commands is vital to maximizing the efficiency of your forces.

Charging And Focusing
By pressing the triangle button, you may have your units charge toward the area specified on your cursor. This works similarly to the basic charge command, only now you can be more specific about where they should be heading.
You can also use the circle button to command your units to focus their attack on a specific enemy or enemy structure. This can be very good for taking care of an especially problematic enemy or quickly taking out a key enemy structure, such as nether portals.
When issuing commands in advanced mode, tapping the button from the commandwill send only one unit of the selected category or type toward the assigned spot.To send every unit of the selected criteria, hold down the button as you’re issuing the command.Note that units need to be within a certain distance of your hero for them to heed your commands.
Regrouping
As you’re traveling through the world, you’ll likely lose track of your golems at some point. To call them back to you, create a spawner or a Wellhouse. Go near them, press and hold B to play a recalling melody, and your golems will teleport to where you are.Note that this will only work for units you’ve created, and this command will not bring along mobs that weren’t created by you (the only exception to this rule are the warriors found later in the game).
