To get these items, you’ll need a new tool - the Archeology Brush. Keep reading for everything you need to know about crafting, repairing, and using the Archeology Brush as well as the possible loot drops you can get with it.

How To Craft The Archeology Brush

The Archeology Brush has a very simple recipe - all it takes isa feather, a copper ingot, and a stick. Once crafted, the archeology brush has 64 points of durability, and each Suspicious Block brush will consume one point.

How To Repair The Archeology Brush

A damaged Archeology Brush can be repaired by crafting two brushes together. This results in their remaining durability being added together, with an additional 5% bonus. As a result, two brushes at just under half durability will create one full-durability brush.

How To Use The Archeology Brush

Using the Archeology Brush is very similar to using a pickaxe. However, you will need to use the secondary action button instead of the primary, like you would with shears.

Press and hold this button for 5 seconds to finish brushing a block. If you stop early, the block will stay in a half-mined state for a few seconds before reverting.

Possible Item Drops

Suspicious Blocks have different loot tables depending on the structure they spawn in, and the version of Minecraft you are playing (Java or Bedrock).

Suspicious Sand naturally generates in Warm Ocean Ruins,Desert Pyramids, andDesert Wells. There are two types of Suspicious Sand - Rare and Common - which each have their own loot table. Notably, the Suspicious Sand in Desert Wells and Desert Temples appears to operate outside the Rare and Common paradigm, and all blocks here have the same loot table.
