One of the biggest things people were hoping for from today’s Nintendo Direct was news onMetroid Prime 4: Beyond. While some wondered if the game was being pushed back to the Nintendo Switch 2, its inclusion in today’s Direct is a pleasant surprise.
Following its teaser trailer last year, we’re finally treated to our first look at gameplay for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond.

The Gameplay takes Samus to the planet Viewros, where she was “unexpectedly transported to.” In typical Metroid Prime fashion, you’re tasked with scanning relics to adventure through the planet and find your way off. Also in typical Metroid Prime fashion, you’re not alone; you’ll have to balance the mix offirst person exploration alongside combat.

Get ready to suit up and hunt down the best of Samus Aran’s power suits from across the Metroid series.
Samus will have new psychic abilities in Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. The gameplay trailer gives the example of opening doors, moving objects, and controlling the trajectory of beams and missiles. As to why she has these powers? I guess we’ll have to find out in the future.

The trailer ends with a tease: “The threads intertwining space and time are beginning to weave a new tale.” We also get a glimpse to a new suit for Samus, but that’s all for today.

Nintendo Switch 2 Rumored To Be Getting One Of The Most Popular Dragon Ball Games
One popular Dragon Ball game that was recently released is said to be headed to the Nintendo Switch 2 as a launch title.
The one nice thing about the Switch 2 is that it will support the entire library of Nintendo Switch games, which means technically, you can play Metroid Prime 4: Beyond on Nintendo Switch 2 no problem. Whether or not it will take advantage of the more powerful hardware, though, is unknown.
