In Marvel Rivals, characters like Jeff the Land Shark and The Punisher are better for newer players looking to build their skill.
How to Emote in Marvel Rivals
Let’s start with using an emote. First, you want to ensure you have your desired emote equipped on your favorite hero. To do that, click the “Heroes” option at the start screen, then select your desired hero. In this example, we’re using Hawkeye.
At the top of the screen, click “Cosmetics” and then choose “Emotes.” This will show you all the available emotes in the game, even ones you don’t have unlocked.

Now that you have your desired emote equipped, let’s use it in the game.
If you’re using a keyboard, press and hold the “T” key. Controller users will use the left D-Pad. This will bring up a social menu where you’re able to spray or emote.

Simply move your mouse to hover over the emote, release the “T” key or left D-Pad, and your character will emote in-game!
How to Use a Spray in Marvel Rivals
Next, we will go over how to use a spray inMarvel Rivals.
First, like your emote, you’ll want to verify you have your desired sprays selected. The menu lists all available sprays, including the bonus reward forMarvel Rivalsreaching 20 million users.

Once in a match, hold the “T” key on the keyboard or the left D-Pad on the controller to bring up the menu.
Release the “T” key or left D-Pad, and your spray will appear on an applicable surface right in front of you!

That’s it! Remember that you can only have one spray active at a time. If there’s no wall or object in front of you, you can paint a spray on the ground.
How to Unlock/Add Emotes and Sprays
Of course, before using an emote or spray, you need to have them. It’s actually a pretty simple process.
While on the hero screen showing cosmetics, every emote and spray you own will be lit up. Those you don’t will be slightly darkened and have a lock symbol in the top right.
Selecting one of the locked emotes or sprays not only provides information about it but also generates an “acquire button.” Clicking this will show you how to purchase the emote or spray, which usually involves buying a bundle.
