NetEase Games’Marvel Rivalsfeatures 33 popular characters from Marvel comics, out of which 18 are Duelists, 8 are Vanguards and 7 are Strategists. The game features some strong Duelists, however, there is one that has been weak since day one: Storm. This character is one of the strongest characters in the Marvel Universe but inMarvel Rivals, she is probably the least popular Duelist.
Some leaks have surfaced on social media that reveal the list of heroes that are getting nerfed and buffed as a part of the season 1 update. Storm is among the buffed heroes list, so it seems like NetEase Games has finally realised how underwhelming her abilities are. There is also some bad news, the studio has decided to nerf only two heroes: Hela and Hawkeye. One hero who desperately needs a nerf is not getting balanced any time soon.
Storm is finally getting buffed inMarvel Rivals
As per RivalsLeaks on X, various heroes inMarvel Rivalsare getting buffed and nerfed with the season 1 update. The five heroes to get buffed are Venom, Captain America, Wolverine, Storm, Cloak and Dagger. The nerfed heroes are Hela and Hawkeye, a much-needed nerf as their abilities were quite overpowered.

Storm is easily one of the weakest agents in the game and this has been a major issue as her DPS, compared to other Duelists, is so weak that it has almost no effect on other heroes. Players are hoping that this buff would make her a better Duelist in the game as she has a lot of potential.

The X account has also mentioned that the season 1 trailer will drop at 7 PM PST on 7th January. Over the next few days, players will also get a glimpse of Mr Fantastic and Invisible Woman, as well as the new map that will be added as a part of season 1.
Hela and Hawkeye are finally getting nerfed but NetEase Games forgot about Iron Fist
The leak has claimed that Hawkeye and Hela are finally getting nerfed as so many players complained about the amount of damage these heroes were able to inflict on other players. It’s unclear what kind of nerf these heroes will receive but more information will be released soon. These nerfs were necessary, however, NetEase Games forgot about another important nerf. Iron Fist has managed to dodge this nerf wave and will continue to terrorize the battlefield.

In close combat, it is nearly impossible to take out Iron Fist as his combination of punches and kicks inflicts so much damage that players just can’t keep up. Players have beenabusing his abilitiesfor quite some time now, and it seems like they will continue to do so.
Not just Iron Fist, but there isanother hero that needs a nerf. NetEase Games will certainly nerf these agents in the future since their broken abilities are making the game unbalanced.
