When news first emerged that the studio behindLife is Strangewas releasing a new game unconnected to the franchise, it was nothing but excitement for fans.

Over the years, the studio has gained the trust of many in consistently delivering titles that willevoke every kind of emotion listed in a dictionary, and the trailer for its upcoming release doesn’t indicate any difference. According to the synopsis:

Rewind back to the 90s and live the defining summer of four high school girls as they forge bonds through their growing friendship, their punk band, and an unexplained event that will forever change their lives.

The trailer opens with a heartwarming glimpse into the lives of four girls enjoying their summer days together. Everything seems perfect—almost too perfect, and if you sensed something’s amiss, you’re absolutely right.

Bloom and Rage Takes Cues From Its Predecessor

To find out more about the mystery of what’s going on, we’ll have to wait for the game’s release. Unfortunately, no release date has been announced, but it’s reportedly being dropped in the first half of 2025.

You’ll play as Swann, one of the four friends. The dialogue you pick or the interactions you have will heavily influence what happens. The game seems to go all-in with the immersion this time around, visually and dialogue-wise.

A shot in the trailer shows Swann viewing her friends through her camcorder, which is an exciting feature in the game. Pick it up and record the world around you as you explore new places and interact with people.
