If you’re looking to travel quickly around Hawaii when not seafaring with the Goro Pirates inLike a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, you’ll want to get your hands on theStreet Surfer.

It’s a traversal tool familiar to those who’ve playedLike a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. Although you’ll be spending your initial time on foot for your exploration in Hawaii, you can easily get your hands on this useful tool.

For this guide, I’ve prepared a short explanation of how to obtain the Street Surfer and the customization options available for it this time around withPirate Yakuza.

How To Unlock & Customize The Street Surfer

In your quest to strengthen the Goromaru ship to use against the opponents of the Madlantis Pirate Coliseum, your first steps in Hawaii will mostly be centered on tracking down handyman mechanics to revamp the ship.

However, once you have done that, right on the beach, you trigger a cutscene where Noah notices a passing Street Surfer. Then, coincidentally, the developer we previously saw inInfinite Wealth, Oka, returns to showcase his traversal device to Majima.

Later, you can revisit the beachside area and recruit Oka to be a part of Majima’s Goro Pirates crew.

After a brief trial run with it, it’s normally free for you to use, and you can evenhead to the nearest Oka Charging Stations across Hawaii to start customizing your Street Surfer.

For those returning from the previous game, they’ve updated the Surfers to have more personalization options, from equipping new front handles to new little details like adding flags or changing the side plates.

you’re able to unlock several of these items by buying them from various shops across Hawaii or even as rewards from gambling joints.

Oh, and if you’re like me and not a huge fan of the gamblingmini-games in the series, just buy enough chips from the vendor to purchase whatever you like outright, since who’d have enough time to play Koi-Koi or Blackjack?

Street Surfer Battery Locations

Additionally, as was the case with Ichiban’s Street Surfer, you may insert two extra battery packs into Majima’s Surfer to increase its reliability and convenience by not requiring it to be charged so often.

Having all of these extra battery packs will increase your charge to a total of eight stacks.

Both of these are found in Hawaii, and if you’re short on cash, it’s better to get these later when you have some extra bucks to spare.

The Beta Surfer Battery Pack is sold in theTreasure Select Pawn shop on River Street near Aloha Bridge for $1500,as shown in the images above.

The other Gamma Surfer Battery Pack, for the same price of $1500, can be found on theWest side of the map in the Chinatown Treasure Select Pawn Shop.

Although you can travel around easily with the Taxi Fast-Travel system, it’s better to use the Street Surfer instead since you’ll need to befriend tons of strangers around town for the Aloha Links activity.
