Even though this boss battle appears to be incredibly intimidating, if you use certain strategies and utilize the boss’s weaknesses, you should be able to make it through the battle without breaking a sweat. Here’s how you can defeat the Green Monster of the Swamp.

What To Bring Along
Before you jump into the battle, there are a few items you should bring along with you in your bag to more easily take down the Green Monster of the Swamp. Keep in mind thatthe boss is weak to Fire,so we are going to be using a lot of fire items to take it on.
Here’s a list ofall the items and weaponswe chose to bring:
For the Fire Abrasives, you shouldonly bring these along if you don’t have theSalamander Dagger.Since the Salamander Dagger deals Fire Damage, it’s the best weapon to use against the Green Monster of the Swamp since they are weak to Fire. But, you can easily use Fire Abrasives to allow your regular weapon to deal Fire Damage as well.
Also, if you do not have the Flamberge Legion Arm, you can use one of the others that can deal damage such asFalcon Eyes.You can also utilizeAegisto protect yourself against attacks from the Green Monster of the Swamp.

Green Monster Of The Swamp Phase 1
The first phase of the Green Monster of the Swamp is quite a bit easier than the second phase. In this one, you’ll want to make sure that the boss isfocusing more on your Specter,and then you’ll want toget behind the boss to deal damage with your Salamander Dagger.This is the best way to avoid damage during the first phase. Make sure you are dodging either towards the boss or around the boss to get behind it.
You canuse a few of your throwing weaponsduring this phase if you need to, but we recommend focusing only on dealing damage with your weapon. This is because for the second phase, you’ll want to have as much throwing weapons as possible since it is much harder. You can also use yourFlamberge Legion Armduring this phase since you’ll be close to the boss.
Make sure you’re paying attention to the Green Monster of the Swamp’s health bar as well, andonce it starts flashing white, you’ll want to use a charged attack to stagger the boss.This will allow you to deal a massive amount of damage and end the first phase early.
Puppet-Devouring Green Monster Phase 2
This phase is quite a bit harder, since the Puppet-Devouring Green Monstermoves much faster and will barrage you with multiple attacks at once.Before you get started, make sure you use yourCube with the Friendship Wishstoneapplied to heal your Specter. He will once again be taking most of the damage here to protect you.
This is when you’ll want to unload all of your throwing weapons on the boss. This includes theThermites, Throwing Cells, Carcass Body Fluid Bottles, Fire Canisters,and more. Anything that deals Fire Damage will especially be useful here.
This is the best way to approach this phase since the boss will be so fast. You’ll want to keep your distance, or he will unload a bunch of attacks on you, and you might unexpectedly die. If you’ve run out of all your throwing weapons and the boss is still alive, then ensure toguard its attacks and use your Salamander Dagger to finish it off.If you guard and receive damage, you’ll be able to get some of your health back by attacking the boss.
