In the report, the company also touched on LEGO Fortnite, where the video game collaboration with the launch of the first physical sets inspired by the game and the introduction of new in-game experiences such as LEGO Islands and Brick Life. According to the company, LEGO Fortnite has engaged over 87 million players.

Expect LEGO Games To Be Developed In-House
While we’re used to seeing LEGO video games come fromTT Games, that might be changing soon, as the Danish toymaker has mentioned how it wants to start developing LEGO video games in-house.
Speaking to theFinancial Times, The LEGO Group CEO Niels Christiansen shared, “We can say, as long as we’re under the Lego brand, we can cover experiences for kids of all ages, digital or physical. [Games development in-house] is something we’re building up.”
It’s unclear whether this means the company will sever ties with game companies that are developing LEGO gaming experiences. While the most popular one today is LEGO Fortnite with Epic Games, the company has often collaborated with TT Games on titles such as LEGO Star War: The Skywalker Saga, LEGO Harry Potter and more.
Publisher 2K has also collaborated with the company withLEGO 2K Drive, which unfortunately failed to catch on. The most recent high-profile LEGO game release isLEGO Horizon Adventuresfrom Guerrilla Games and Studio Gobo, which was released in November 2024, It’s a LEGO version of Guerrilla Games' first-party PlayStation franchise but with a more family-friendly twist.
