Since the dawn of video gaming, one type of action-game enemy has been the bane of everyone’s collective existence.

This enemy, of course, is the canis lupis. Whether this creature materializes in a game as a dog or a wolf, you’re able to be sure that you’re in for some frantic combat regardless.

Every Wolf Pokemon, Ranked

Across all 9 generations, these are the best wolf Pokemon in the series.

Kingdom Come: DeliveranceII has wolves aplenty, so it should come as no surprise that the tipster quest simply titled “Wolf Pack” throws more canines at you and Henry than what would typically be deemed a reasonable amount.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II Innkeeper Lawrence

Still, this tipster quest is entirely manageable and worth the risk to score some pretty sweet loot as a result.

Let’s take a closer look at how to complete this howler of a quest.

How To Start The Wolf Pack Task

Like all tipster quests, Wolf Pack is only accessed by following the “quest tipster” icon on your map designated by a bright blue exclamation mark. For this quest, look for an icon to appear near the Zhelejov Wagoner’s Inn, just up and left from the proper village of Zhelejov on your map.

Here, you’re seeking out Innkeeper Lawrence, the owner of the inn you may have already spoken to about room and board. If you don’t know him, he’s usually hanging out at the inn (daytime only) and sports a small round cap with flaps on the sides, an apron, and a white tunic.

Lawrence will give you several dialogue options, but you simply want to ask him about any news going on in the area. The innkeeper has several different tipster quests he can send you on, and you’ll sometimes receive multiple at once.

If you’re catching him at the right time, Lawrence will impart his knowledge of a large wolf pack near Rocktower Pond that’s been causing quite a ruckus. Run through some more dialogue, and you’ll soon have a new point of interest spawn on your map simply labeled “Wolf Pack.”

Finding The Wolf Pack

Truth be told, there’s no ideal way to approach this point of interest, as each direction poses threats along the way.

Whether you start from the Rocktower Pond fast-travel point to the south-west, the Vidlak Pond point to the north, or simply travel from Lawrence in Zhelejov to the east, stay on alert.

These progression systems are the most varied and profound of their kind.

Bandit camps and ambush points are hidden along all of these routes, so be prepared to either fight or flee whenever they are encountered.

If you want to be extra safe at the expense of some lost time, sneaking though the woods and staying off the main roads can theoretically lessen these encounters, though no patch of woods is ever guaranteed to be free of bandits either.

Eventually, you will reach the point on your map, which requires carefully climbing up to the top of a cliff to reach. Here, you will need to dispatch five wolves that are seemingly guarding a couple of already exhumed graves.

If this is your first time encountering wolves in KCD2, be warned that they behave more erratically than typical enemies. Try to keep an eye on every one of them, as it’s not uncommon for one to break off from the pack, sneak around you, and grab onto your leg from behind.

It ishighlyrecommended that you complete the Mutt side quest before this encounter, as having a dog of your own by your side in this fight is crucially beneficial.

As you circle around the wolves and attempt to dispatch them individually, siccing Mutt on another wolf as a distraction will buy you critical free time to take down the enemy you’re focused on.

Despite the wolves not having any real weapons of their own, Henry is still able to perform a perfect dodge and a riposte when fighting wolves, so look out for the green shield and blue attack icons, respectively, to show up in your cross-hairs to aid this fight even further.

Once you’ve whittled the wolf pack down to one or two remaining wolves, the survivors will scamper off into the woods, seemingly too scared to continue attacking you. Don’t be fooled. If you linger around too long, the wolves will sneak back up to you and attack again. It’s recommended to chase down and defeat every wolf to prevent this.

Looting The Wolves' Den

Once you’re free of your canine attackers, you’re in the clear to loot the area and complete the quest. You’ll notice two exhumed graves in the immediate area, and the contents of said graves are your reward for ridding the area of these pesky wolves.

Free for the taking, you’ll discover aVon Bergow Knight Shield,Battle Longsword, andSaxon Bascinetfor your troubles.

All three of these are very nice early-game gear options or can also be sold off if you’re in desperate need of some extra Groschen.
