The beginning hours of KCD2 are an absolute slog, as the game throws you in the deep end, asking you to survive in a world where even the most lowly bandit could easily slice you in two.

It takes a long time for you to stock up on provisions, a set of decent weapons, and up your respective skills. But, if you’re someone who has access to the pre-order DLC content forKingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you can ensure that you’ll have some decent armor to help you get through those early stages in one piece.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: Complete Romance Guide

There are several romance options in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. Here’s a guide to finding and romancing each one.

The Lion’s Crest DLC quest allows you to go off in search of Brunswick’s Armor, something that is thought by many to be nothing more than just the subject of a fairytale. But, as you might expect, Henry knows better than that.

Lion’s Crest DLC Scribe KCD2

Here’s how you start this DLC quest, as well as all the locations you’ll need to visit to get the full armor set.

How to Start The Lion’s Crest

To begin the Lion’s Crest DLC, you’ll first need to ensure that you actually have access to the DLC content, as only those who availed of the pre-order bonuses will have access to this questline. This quest cannot be purchased as a standalone DLC pack at this time.

Provided you do have access, you will then need to get to the point in the game where you are released from the stocks in Troskowitz, and the game effectively lets you off the leash. At this point, you can then head into the Rathaus, where you will find Scribe Gaibl.

Speak to them, and you’ll see a dialogue option with a purple crest beside it. You’ll want to listen to the tale of Lord Brunswick, and all the lions and dragons that come with that. Then, once you exhaust all the dialogue options, the quest will be added to your journal, l and you can go about trying to find the first piece of armor.

Before You Set Off

Before you go about completing this quest, you’ll need to ensure you have some things in your inventory, and you’ll also want to probably do a few things before you go venturing off into the wilds.

Firstly, you’ll need a Spade to dig up some of the armor featured in this quest. You should already have one if you helped Bozhena bury the bandits in the tutorial, but just in case, you may often find spades near cemeteries and shrines, or occasionally from a trader.

Then additionally, as this is a quest that will require a lot of traveling around the map, as well as inevitably fighting bandits along the road, I would suggest you do the following before partaking in this quest to make your life a little easier:

None of this is strictly essential, and save-scumming with some Savior Schnapps will help a lot, but if you want an easier time, prioritize these things ahead of searching for this legendary armor.

Brunswick’s Armor Location #1

Now that you’re equipped for the journey ahead, you should first set off to the forests behind Trosky Castle, where you’ll come across a few bandits lurking around the area where the armor is supposed to be.

One is well-armored, while the other is rather flimsy, so take out the weaker one quickly and then turn your attention to the bulkier guy. Mutt is a real help in this encounter, but even without your loyal sidekick, you should be able to take them down.

Once you do, you’ll want to head off the path and through the bushes to an area where you’ll find a break in the rocks and a little alcove containing a shrine, a cross, and a grave.

You’ll need a spade to dig this up, and when you do, you’ll find Brunswick’s Dagger and his Gauntlets. Not to mention fragments of a certain holy text, and the next map in this grand puzzle.

Brunswick’s Armor Location #2

Next, you’ll want to head to an area north of Tachov, again, deep in the forest. To give you an idea of where about you’re heading, this armor location is rather close to the bandit camp you’ll visitduring the Lackey side quest. So, if you don’t want a fight, steer clear.

You’ll want to head to the nearby Wolf Hunting Spot, and as you might expect, you’ll need to fight a pack of wolves. These are annoying to fight as they can overwhelm you through sheer numbers. However, if you position yourself well, you should be able to pick your moments and thin the pack.

Then, once you have killed the wolves, or when they flee, you’ll want to turn your attention to the trees near where their den under the rocks is. It’s tricky to spot, but there is a sack between the trees where you will find another selection of goodies courtesy of Brunswick.

In this sack, you’ll find his Coif, his Caparison, and most importantly, his Leg Plates.

Brunswick’s Armor Location #3

Next up, you’ll want to head over to Vidlak Pond, and then, from the associated fast-travel location, you won’t have very far to go.

You’ll need to head into the forest and then head up a steep slope. At this point, you should come across a cross and a series of log paths that will allow you to platform over there.

Take care as you cross, as the fall will leave you with serious injuries. Then, once over, open the chest, and you’ll find Brunswick’s Plate Sleeves and some Savior Schnapps, which is always a bonus.

Brunswick’s Armor Location #4

Your penultimate trek will take you to an area not too far from the Zhelejov Wagoner’s Inn, so use that fast travel point and then make your way toward the forest where Bozhena patched you up in the tutorial.

Follow the map listed above, and you’ll come to an area where you’ll see that familiar cross gravestone once again. However, this is a bit of a two-parter.

At the Cross, you’ll find a container that holds a Gemstone Ring, which can be sold to a merchant for a bunch of Gloschen, but that’s not what we’re here for.

You’ll want to do a 180-turn and walk back until you see a skeleton with a sword sitting up against a tree. Then, inside a nearby sack, you’ll find Brunswick’s Brigandine.

Brunswick’s Armor Location #5

Almost there, just one more location to hit now.

The last location will take you to an area relatively close to the Nomad’s Camp, so you’ll want to use that fast travel point, then head east into the forest.

Eventually, you will come to an area marked on the map as ‘Treasure Hunter’s Spot.’ You’ll want to have your sword drawn and primed, as the treasure hunters aren’t all that keen on sharing their finds.

These are all relatively weak enemies, but there are three of them, so use Mutt’s Sic ability to manage the crowd and pick your moments carefully, using master strikes for quick takedowns.

Then, once they go down, you’re able to explore the area. Firstly, turn your attention to their dig site, where you will find a Golden Chalice, which can besold for a small fortune in the early game.

Then, after that, turn your attention to the Cairn that you can examine to reveal Brunswick’s Bascinett, complete your set, and conclude the Lion’s Crest DLC quest.
