The Dancing with the Devil is a main quest inKingdom Come Deliverance 2where Henry and his allies infiltrate Maleshov with the Finger of God to get to Lord Von Bergow. It heavily focuses on combat and making crucial decisions that shape how the mission pans out.

It’s important to ensure that you’re well-prepared before starting this mission by having the best weapons and armor possible. Going into the Dancing with the Devil quest under-equipped can make it way more challenging than it needs to be.

Choosing to burn maleshov or not Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

Creating a Plan for Maleshov

To start the Dancing with the Devil quest inKingdom Come Deliverance 2,fast-travel to Devil’s Den and speak with Zizkato meet with all the allies.

Everyone gathers to discuss the infiltration of Maleshov, which involves bringingthe Finger of Godand blowing up the fortress walls.

Burning down the village Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

After discussing the plans, time will jump to nighttime, and the next scene will show the gang outside Maleshov’s walls. The Dry Devil will insist on burning down the village, which wasn’t originally discussed earlier, putting innocent lives at risk.

You can either agree with the idea of burning down the village or disagree and convince him that it’s better to go in stealthily.

Refusing to set fire to Maleshov Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

I recommend burning down the village, mainly because it makes one part of this quest much easier, but we’ll go over both outcomes in the following sections.

Choosing to Burn Down the Village

If you abide by the Dry Devil’s orders and choose to burn down the village, Henry and his allies rush in, killing any soldiers in their path.

While you’re fighting the soldiers here, you also have the opportunity to speak to any innocent civilian and convince them to flee.

Fight for the Dry Devil Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

After defeating the handful of enemy soldiers, Henry and his allies hide behind a nearby shed, waiting for reinforcements and Zizka’s order to attack.

Wait at this location for a few minutes until you see a group of soldiers rush by. Then, jump out from behind cover to finish them off.

Refusing to Burn Down the Village

If you decide against burning down the village, thenthe Dry Devil will challenge you in a duel. If you get bested in this duel, then the plans of burning down the village will continue, and Henry has to abide. However, if you win this duel, then everyone finally agrees to infiltrate Maleshov quietly.

Remember, choosing this option makes the next part of the quest much more challenging. Still, whicheverdecision you makeon how to get into Maleshov, the following objective is to open the main gate.

Opening the Gate

If you decide to burn down the village, this part will be made easier, considering tons of guards are focused on handling the fire and not near the gate. However, if you refuse to burn down the village, then there are way more guards to deal with.

Either way, your objective here is toopen the first gate and get Zizka and his men inside the fortress' wallsso they can help in combat.

First, follow your men to the outside wall of Maleshov, where your ally will put a ladder up against the wall.Climb this ladder to get to the inside of Maleshov.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Platinum Trophy To Take 200 Hours To Obtain

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 won’t require multiple playthroughs for a Platinum trophy, but it will still take some time.

The gate you need to open is on the eastern side of this area. If you remember the"Taking French Leave" questfrom earlier in the game, it’s the same gate you used to escape with Hans and Brabant.

I recommendthrowing a pebble opposite the gate to lure the soldiers away, so you can sneak past and unlock it without them knowing. Otherwise, you’ll have to fight soldiers without help from Zizka.

Seizing Maleshov

Once Zizka and your allies are in Maleshov, finish off the rest of the enemy soldiers. While this part can seem intimidating at first due to the number of enemies, just know that they’re easily defeated if youattack them while they’re distracted by your allies.

After all the enemies are dead, enemy archers will start raining arrows down upon you.Take cover behind the wagon and wait for a few minutesuntil a cutscene begins, showing your allies shooting off the Finger of God into the main tower of Maleshov.

These brews can save Henry in a pinch.

The final objective is to rush into the main courtyard of Maleshov and attack the enemy soldiers inside its walls.

Just like before, you can easily win this battle by attacking enemies from behind while they’re distracted by your allies.Once they’re all defeated, make your way over to Zizka and Hans to speak to them.

Speaking to Lord Von Bergow

The last moments of the Dancing with the Devil quest shows Hans, Zizka, and the Dry Devil speaking to Lord Von Bergow, who is hiding out on the top floor of the tower. Surprisingly,he has Rosa Ruthard in there with him, who he has been holding captive.

The original plan was to burn down the tower, but this won’t work since all of our allies don’t want an innocent woman, Rosa, to be killed.

There are a couple ways to go about this dialogue sequence with Lord Von Bergow. You can eithertry to negotiate with himto get him to come down peacefully with Rosa by selecting the “Let’s make a deal” dialogue option.

Or you’re able to bust your way into the tower, defeat a group of soldiers, and save Rosa. Choose the “I’ll rescue Rosa” dialogue option if you prefer the latter.

No matter which way you decide to go about the conversation with Bergow, the end result is him coming out with Rosa and surrendering. I tried this part multiple times, choosing different dialogue options, to see if there was any way to actually burn down the tower. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem possible.

Once he’s outside and in your custody, the Dancing with the Devil quest concludes. You are now free to roamthe open worlduntil you begin the next quest, Oratores.
