Cyberpunk 2077may have had a rough launch, but the game has evolved over the years to become not only playable but one of the best games of the current generation. CD Projekt Red has worked tirelessly to release patch after patch to ensure their latest flagship title is playable.

One aspect some gamers had an issue with regarding the title was the first-person perspective, and the melee combat was not the most satisfying. But what ifCyberpunk 2077setting was combined withBatman Arkham Asylum’s combat mechanics? Well, we’d haveKiborg!

Immersive titles such as those from CD Projekt Red have a special place in every gamer’s heart. But sometimes you just want to sit back with a title that doesn’t demand much from the player but is still a fun experience. This seems to be the angle that Sobaka Studios is going for withKiborg.
The game was first announced several months ago, but we finally have new gameplay footage that was shared via the Guerilla Collective 2024 Livestream. The game is going to implement therogue-lite formula withArkham-style melee combatand also feature firearms for added versatility.

Each mission will begin with a combat map that allows players to choose their path to the end, similar toSlay the Spire. So, it will be up to the player to decide the frequency of fights. Completing combat encounters will help the player upgrade materials to become stronger, faster, and gain new abilities. Some of these abilities include leaving a path of fire on each dash, increasing the number of hits via shadow attacks, and having better mobility options.
The narrative structure within the game is stated to always move forward. This means whether the player succeeds or fails a mission, it will push the narrative in a new direction, resulting in a unique experience at every playthrough. The combination ofCyberpunk 2077,Arkham Asylum, andSlay the Spirewill be interesting to see put into practice when the game finally releases.

From understanding the complexities of a multilayer narrative to the simply joy of “big gun go boom”, my goal is to capture all the emotions in between and put them down in an engaging manner.
