Story In Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 244
The chapter began with a flashback of the sorcerers discussing their plan against Sukuna. Kusakabe noted Miwa’s binding vow and inability to wield her sword. In the plan against Kenjaku, Yuta aimed to deliver the final blow if Gojo lost, exactly what we saw happening recently. Kamo opted out to care for family, and those skilled or willing to risk their life joined the mission. In a humorous conversation, Yuji tried persuading Kamo, anticipating learning from him, and mentioning Choso sucked at teaching. Higuruma volunteered to confront Sukuna using the death penalty. However, there were doubts about its success, as he wasn’t sure how Judgeman would act in the given situation.
Higuruma talks about Sukuna’s crimes, covering Yuji, Megumi, and Shibuya events. And while his crimes are worth the death penalty, the Judgeman’s nature to evaluate each crime separately could just leave Sukuna with a pity punishment. They also debate debate about the charges by applying modern law to Sukuna’s ancient deeds. Finally, Yuji hints at a method to secure Sukuna’s death sentence, after which the chapter returns to the present.
The battle against Sukuna continues, and Mei Mei’s crows prove ineffective against Sukuna, while Higuruma attacks Sukuna with his hammer. Yuji also contributes to the battle. Higuruma finally initiates Judgeman against Sukuna, and a flashback reveals Yuji’s strategy, implicating Sukuna in the Shibuya massacres. The trial commences, accusing Yuji of Shibuya’s mass murder, and Higuruma defends Yuji, denying his involvement, pointing out that the true culprit is Sukuna instead.
