Jujutsu Kaisenhas seen tremendous growth in 2023, and it has been a very successful year for the franchise as it has become one of the highest-selling mangas of the year. The anime managed to grab a podium finish in theGlobal Demand Awardsfor one of the top 3 most in-demand shows of 2023, snubbing popular series such asBleachandNaruto.
Recently, the series aired episode 21 of season 2, and was one of the best episodes with mesmerizing animation and OST. However, due to an anime original scene of Todo cross-dressing as a school girl, it managed to enrage a part of theJujutsu Kaisencommunity, forcing the animator to apologize.

The series is on a heated run as terrible events unfold in Shibuya, and numerous fan-favorite characters get killed.
Nobara and Nanami were the latest characters to be the victims of Mahito, who killed them to raise the agony in Itadori.
Jujutsu Kaisenepisode 21 concluded the battle between Mahito vs. Todo and Itadori, where Todo played a crucial role.
During the episode, we see a scene in Aoi Todo’s imagination as he and his idol, Nobuko Takada, fight Mahito together and defeat him.
The scene was received very well by the majority of the audience, but some fans felt enraged about Todo cross-dressing as a girl and issued death threats to the animator.
Facing such colossal criticism, the animator, Sota Shigetsugu, quickly apologized to the audience to calm them down.
