Warner Bros Japan Anime and Shueisha revealed a release date estimate trailer forJoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Stone Oceanthis August 8. And while part of the details announced at the event was leaked beforehand, such as the seiyuu voicing the main characters, we still learned a ton of details.

Event announcements roundup, staff details, David Production revealed

The event started with MC Chiaki Matsuzawa andFairouz Aichating about the series. Fairouz Ai most notably recounted how much of a hugeJoJofan she is and how Jolyne is her favorite character ever.

Next, we got a quick intro of the story, and how Jolyne will ultimately put an end to the Joestar Vs Dio feud in this Part. Following that the staff was introduced.

Kenichi Suzuki is the series director. He worked onPhantom Blood, Battle Tendency, Stardust Crusaderas series director. Toshiyuki Kato is the director. He was the series director forDiamond is Unbreakable, and director ofThus Spoke Kishibe Rohan.

Yasuko Kobayashi is the series composer forStone Ocean, and was the series composer fromPhantom BloodtoGolden Wind. Masanori Shino is the character designer, working on aJoJoanime for the first time. Masanori Shino also drew the new key visual.

Stand Designer is Shunichi Ishimoto who handled sub chara design onDiamond, chara design onKishibe, and chief animation director onGolden Wind. The sound director is Yoshikazu Iwanami. Yugo Kanno is the composer and previously worked onStardust Crusaders, Diamond, Kishibe,andGolden Wind.

Animation production forJoJo Part 6is David Production like all the past seasons. Following that, we got to see the trailer. And right after, two seiyuu joined the stage. Mutsumi Tamura, voice of Ermes Costello, and Mariya Ise, voice of F.F.

Together with director Kenichi Suzuki and Ai Fairouz, the two of them chatted about tons of interesting details, most notably regarding the recording. Kenichi Suzuki also mentioned it’s overall the same animators at David Production sincePart 1who are working onPart 6, alongside a bunch of new recruits, mainly women. The women of the staff all played a key role seeing the focus on female characters ofPart 6.

Last but not least, the event revealedJoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 6 Stone Oceanwill be released on Netflix worldwide in December 2021. Meanwhile, the series will also be aired on TV in Japan starting January 2022.
