The group seems confused about entering the virtual world and exploring the environment, encountering the game’s familiar animals, such as sheep and wolves, and going through various dangers that are common in the world.
As the trailer progressed, the group encountered a range of elements typical to Minecraft, ending withJack Black‘s appearance who revealed himself as Steve. While it looks like Black’s humor and energy have been incorporated into his character, this creative concept didn’t win audiences’ hearts.
In a Discussing Film’sXpost, several fans expressed their opinion on Black’s casting for the Steve role. Although entertaining, his portrayal has seemingly been unable to meet fans’ standards.

I have literally been exclusive to Minecraft for the last month and a half. All Minecraft all the time. I’m in a little movie called Minecraft. I don’t want to brag, but it’s kind of a big deal.
