Hollywood star Henry Cavill’s transition from DCEU’s Superman toThe Withcher’s Geralt of Rivia was well-recieved by the fans. However, the time for another switch came after three seasons ofThe Witcher.Netflix announced in early August last year that the 2019 drama will be renewed for a fourth season, spotlighting Liam Hemsworth as the protagonist instead of Henry Cavill.

This left fans shocked, transpiring rumors on the reason behind Cavill’s exit. Many presumed the star quit to reprise DCEU’s Superman, or that creative diversion with the showmaker might have resulted in his departure. However, there’s one rumor that Cavill directly dismissed during an interview.

Appearing on theHappy Sad Confusedpodcast in late October, the 40-year-old actor subtly clarified a rumor about leaving Lauren S. Hissrich’s show,The Witcher.But didn’t provide any solid reason for his exit. As many speculated thatHenry Cavillmight be moving over to the land of Westeros, being a part of the esteemed Targaryen family inHouse of the DragonSeason 2, he denied any such plans.
In a candid conversation with host Josh Horowitz, Cavill was asked if he was going to join theHouse of the DragonorLokicast. The actor stated,

“To be fair, when I was watching House of the Dragon, I was like ‘I feel like a lot of these guys could make really good Witchers. I think it would be cool to be in Westeros, I really do. I don’t think there’s a place for me in there, though.”
While his interest in Westeros is evident, Cavill implied that the cast is already on point, and his addition wouldn’t do the show any favors. His exit fromThe Witchermight worry fans, but the Superman actor has preoccupied himself with other exciting projects.
