The Marvel star was recently embroiled in a controversy where one of OpenAI’s models used a voice eerily similar to hers. The actress reflected on the whole scenario and how shocked she was when she found out that Sam Altman had been allegedly manipulating her voice in an era where AI has become a big threat to creativity.

Scarlett Johansson has had her fair share of disputes in the industry for example her legal battle with Disney over the day and date release ofBlack Widow.This year, the actress was embroiled in anotherdispute with OpenAICEO Sam Altman over the voice of ChatGPT’s Sky, which sounded strikingly similar to her voice fromHer.
The CEO even tweeted the word“her”while launching the model which led to Johansson taking action and placing a lawsuit against the company. In an interview withThe New York Times, Johansson opened up about how angry and in disbelief she was about the whole thing. The actress had distanced herself when Altman first came to her with the offer of using her voice for the company’s new model.

She believes that it went against her core values and it was not something she wanted to associate with. However, when the whole thing blew up, she started getting messages from everyone, which made her incredibly disturbed. TheDon Jonstar said,
I felt I did not want to be at the forefront of that. I just felt it went against my core values. I don’t like to kiss and tell. He came to me with this and I didn’t tell anybody except my husband. I had actively avoided being a part of the conversation, which was what made it so disturbing. I was like, ‘How did I get wrapped up in this?’ It was crazy. I was so angry.

Altman has reportedlydenied using Johansson’s voicein the company’s new invention and has stopped OpenAI from further using Sky’s voice. The actress is currently starring in Greg Berlanti’s rom-comFly Me to the Moonwhere she stars alongside Channing Tatum.

After her incredible tenure as an A-list actress,Scarlett Johanssonis stepping back from the camera and making her feature directorial debut with the dramaEleanor the Great. In an interview withCollider, the actress revealed that she is now in the post-production stages of the film and had a wonderful experience shooting in New York.

Johansson stated that while it felt daunting to direct her first film, she eventually loved the entire process and had a lot of fun making the film. She praised her entire cast and crew for making her job less stressful. The actress said.
I know. I get that. It definitely is daunting. I’m on the back part of the editing process [for Eleanor the Great], so I’m going into further post-production on it. But I really had a wonderful experience in the physical production. I loved shooting in New York. I had a wonderful, wonderful crew and an incredible cast of actors.

Johansson’sEleanor the Greatwill star June Squibb, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Jessica Hecht, and Erin Kellyman. The film wrapped shooting in April this year and a release date has yet to be announced. Fans should wait for some time for official news about the same.
