‘Well, it may have escaped your notice but, life isn’t fair!’ If the former Twitch streamer Dr Disrespect was watchingHarry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, the famous dialogue by Professor Severus Snape could hit him like anything. Life certainly hasn’t been kind for the Doc since he was banned from the popular streaming platform.

Dr Disrespect currently holds 4.7 Million subscribers on YouTube.

The reason as to why the organization had to take such a step is a mystery to everyone given that no explanation was provided about the situation by the officials. However, given his outspoken nature, one can assume what possibly could have been the reason for that to happen in the first place.

Fans Believe It Was a Good Decision Dr Disrespect Came to YouTube

Dr Disrespect being warm and mushy is a rare sight for everyone who watches him streaming games. In one of his streams on the video-sharing platform YouTube, he shared how life has been for him since he said goodbye to Twitch in 2020. He said,

I make probably a fourth a quarter of what I was making on Twitch. The viewership on YouTube, it’s atrocious. Again, there’s nothing really going on over here on this platform.

He went on to explain that the Twitch ban affected him “not just from a financial standpoint but from a networking standpoint. He joined the platform in 2015 after leaving his designation as a community manager for Sledgehammer Games. Fans believe it was all for good that he came to YouTube anyway.

Alongside a full-time streamer, Dr Disrespect also owns a AAA video game studio dubbed Midnight Society. There, his team isworking on a gamecalledDeadropwhich he claims to blow awayCall of Duty.

He has criticized games like Call of Duty heavily in the past.

However, the game might have done some fine work on visuals but is a far cry from Activision’s major product. Not just that, the studio attracted some backlash after the Doc revealed the involvement of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) in their game.

The Chips Are Falling Where They May

Now that the Call of Duty streamer has finally settled on YouTube, he should raise the bar to meet what he initially was getting on Twitch. However, as he explains in the video, getting followers was easier on Twitch in contrast to YouTube.

Still, the Doc holds a large fanbase across the globe and it might slowly get to a satisfactory point. Moreover, he recently expressed his love for Arrowhead’sHelldivers 2which the fans are admiring already. He might begin some regular streams of the games which could get things going.

However, that doesn’t go without saying that he must not adhere to his streaming name literally given the ‘Disrespect’ has seen a fair share of controversies during his career. For now, he should stop criticizingCall of Dutyand begin enjoying the fight for democracy.
