While the film is two months away from release, it seemsSteven Spielberghas already seen the film. Gosling recently talked toVarietyabout Spielberg’s reaction to the film. At the recent Golden Globes, Spielberg praised the film and told Gosling that he loved it. Gosling was blown away by such praise coming from an accomplished filmmaker like Spielberg.
Gosling expressed that he was so overwhelmed by his remarks that is now incredibly happy with the film and doesn’t care about its box office potential. He called the experience an all-time moment for him and further called the film, a special one. He said,

“I saw Steven Spielberg walking in my direction. I don’t know Steven Spielberg… He goes, “Yeah you.’ I go, ‘I’m sorry I didn’t think you were coming to talk to me.’ And I stood up and he gave me a hug and said, ‘I just saw “Fall Guy” and I loved it.’ As far as I’m concerned it doesn’t matter anymore what happens. Steven Spielberg liked it. That was an all-time moment for me. I’m really excited for people to see it. I think it’s a really special movie.”
Such praise coming from Spielberg will raise the anticipation of the film. It seems Leitch and the team have made something great that is both entertaining and a thrilling cinematic experience. Fans will get to know how the film is when it releases in theatres in May this year.

In an interview withDen of Geek, Gosling details how the film is a love letter to filmmaking in general. Gosling pointed out how making a film is a romantic endeavor and this made the love story between him and Blunt in the film become a prominent arc in the film. He said,
“It’s such a love letter to stunts, a love letter to action, a love letter to filmmaking! It’s a love letter to the crew. And that love is at the heart of it. So we felt that it had to be that way from a story perspective as well. It’s such a romantic endeavor, just to make a film in general. And that romance is at the core of all of it. Every time we reconnected to the love story, it just felt like it kept energizing the movie as it went forward.”

In addition to Gosling and Blunt,The Fall Guystars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Winston Duke, Hannah Waddingham, and Stephanie Hsu. The film will be released in theaters on June 22, 2025.
