In the second season ofBreaking Bad,a drug runner by the name of Tortuga is featured, played by Danny Trejo. Fans may remember Tortuga’s head on a turtle’s back when Hank Schrader goes to investigate and the turtle explodes.

Well, since the show is about drug runners, makers, and, empires, it made sense to castDanny Trejoin a notable and prominent role. Alongside being an iconic actor, Trejo was also once a convict who was arrested when he was just 10 years old!

From various reports (viaHuffPost), it was revealed that Trejo has had quite a criminal record ever since he was 7 years old! The report mentioned that Trejo started selling drugs when he was just seven years old and 3 years later, got arrested. Sending him to a juvenile jail did not change anything as Trejo went on to stab a sailor in the face, hit a prison guard with a rock, and, took part in armed robbery.

However, he left the life of crime and jail in 1969 and pursued his passion for acting. In 2021, the actor tweeted a heartfelt message on hisX(formerly Twitter) about how people can indeed change.

A lot of people in prison have redeemable qualities, if we can help them they can and will become productive citizens. If I can make it, you can make it.
