What Was Melissa Lingafelt’s Accusations Against Drake Bell?
While posting threads of TikTok videos, Melissa Lingafelt, who was in a relationship with Bell when she was 16 and he was 20, shared how during her time with Bell, she was emotionally and physically abused. “I don’t even want to get into the underage girls thing,” she concluded in the since-deleted TikTok. “I mean, I will, but I’m scared.” (ViaPEOPLE)
Sharing screenshots of texts from those who had seen Bell involved in abusive behaviors, Lingafelt also showed messages from other people who stated that the Nickelodeon performer had committed acts of s*xual rude behavior and assault against them. “What he’s being arrested for right now is a prime example of what I would witness, him having inappropriate conversations online with underage girls,” she says, claiming that she had seen him exchanging emails with “extremely young girls.”
“I saw really questionable, crazy shit on his computer. The stuff he’d be looking at was fucking insane.”
“I don’t pray that people will come forward,”she added. “I just know that they will.”

After the allegations were shared on TikTok,Drake Bellcame forward and denied all the allegations against him, saying that he never abused his ex-girlfriends.

“As our relationship ended—more than a decade ago—we unfortunately, both called each other terrible names, as often happens when couples are breaking up. But that is it.”
He then added, “Clearly, Melissa still felt close enough to me just last year that she was comfortable reaching out to ask me to provide her with financial support during a tough time (which I did). I do not know if today’s behavior is some kind of misguided quest for more money or attention. But I cannot and will not allow these offensive and defamatory allegations to go unchallenged and I am reviewing my legal options.”
