ActorTerry Crewsopened up about his longtime addiction to p*rnography, a habit that took root in his early youth and persisted for years. In a candid disclosure during a 2015 interview with Wendy Williams and subsequent Facebook videos the following year, he highlighted how serious of an issue it can be.
“If day turns into night and you are still watching, you probably have got a problem. And that was me,”he shared in one of hisFacebookvideos. Talking about his struggles in the Audible Original book,Stronger Together, he shared how his success and fame made it even worse.

“Success is the warmest place to hide,”he shared before adding,“Fame made it worse! Hollywood didn’t care. It still doesn’t care if you lose your family.”TheBrooklyn Nine-Ninestar explained how the addiction altered his perception of people, reducing them to objects and body parts rather than“people to be loved.”
The shift in his mindset, which was compounded by his addiction, started affecting his marriage to singer Rebecca King-Crews.“It affected everything. My wife was literally like, ‘I don’t know you anymore. I’m out of here,”he shared. And it made him realize that he needed professional help.

Terry Crews’ Addiction Nearly Ruined His Marriage
One of the biggest issues for Terry Crews was that he was not able to discuss his issues with anyone, including his wife, and it continued to take a toll on their relationship.“Every time I watched it, I was walled off. It was like another brick that came between me and my wife,”he shared as perPeople.
It all led to what they termed as the“D-Day”in their Audible Original when Crews admitted to his addiction and being unfaithful. His wife contemplated leaving, describing the experience as“like death.”The strain of their relationship was also impacting their kids.

After realizing how severe his addiction had gotten, Terry Crews sought help.“I had to change,”he said before adding, “I literally had to go to rehab for it.”After his rehab, he decided to patch things up with his wife.
“I got help because I needed it,”he said, emphasizing that his motivation for seeking help was not solely to save his marriage but stemmed from an inherent need for personal healing. The actor has gotten free of his addiction and has also made amends with his wife.
