While avoiding direct comparisons to his personal life, Murray suggested he can relate to these characters, men who hide their flaws behind a charming exterior. He explained,

It’s always interesting when you’re playing a guy who has done some damage. I’ve done some damage, It’s sort of a penance to play them; to show that you’re accepting responsibility for it. It’s certainly always unconscious damage you’re doing, but you are responsible for the damage you’re doing

Bill Murray, although a huge star, his career took a major hit in April 2022 when production onBeing Mortalwas abruptly shut down due to complaints about his inappropriate behavior toward a young female assistant.

But that wasn’t the first time Murray found himself at the center ofon-set controversy. Back in 2000,Charlie’s Angelsstar Lucy Liu reportedly confronted him for“hurling insults”at her after discovering that a scene had been rewritten without his input. Liu later described the incident as an unprofessional outburst that she refused to tolerate.

Years earlier, Geena Davis alleged that Murray harassed her while they were working on the 1990 crime comedyQuick Change. According to Davis, he insisted on using a massage device on her in a hotel room despite her discomfort. Later, during filming, he berated her in front of the cast and crew.
