According to a report inPuck News, the woman alleged that Murray straddled her to one of the beds that was erected on the set. He then proceeded to kiss her through her mask which was mandatory as the film was being made during the Covid period. This action reportedly shocked the woman who said that she was completely caught unawares.

TheTootsieactor, in his defense, revealed toThe Guardianthat the whole incident was done in complete jest with no other intention beyond humor. Murray’s actions on set resulted in the film getting suspended halfway during production.
“I did something I thought was funny and it wasn’t taken that way. The movie studio wanted to do the right thing so they wanted to check it all out, investigate it and so they stopped the production.”
But the crew member completely denied the actor’s claims and was clear that his behavior was of s*xual nature. Following another film staffer who allegedly witnessed this incident, the woman filed a complaint against the actor and received $100,000 from him as a settlement according to a report inNational Post.
Incidentally, this was not the first time that the star has been called out. Another veteran and his co-star inQuick ChangeGeena Davis also accused him for his supposedly difficult behavior which also included incidents of s*xual harassment towards her.
