Will Mark Wahlberg Return to theTedSeries?
As the series takes a prequel approach (the younger version of the characters), film stars Mark Wahlberg, Amanda Seyfried, and Mila Kunis won’t reprise their roles.
Even though the upcoming show is based on the original Mark WahlbergTedfranchise, none of the original cast would be returning. Only Seth MacFarlane making a comeback who voices the titular Teddy Bear.
In addition to that, Burkholder admitted he was“very careful not to do a Mark Wahlberg impression.”He said in the same interview with The Direct:
“I don’t know if there was anything specifically going in that I was like, ‘Oh, this is how I’m going to make it different.’ Because it is still a character that we all know and love. But I did want to be very careful to not do a Mark Wahlberg impression. Like, I didn’t want to do his voice, exactly. You know, this is the same guy, but it’s a different period of his life. He’s not nearly as confident. He’s just as brash. He’s just as stupid, but it’s a different stage in his life.”
So, it’s clear that neither his impression nor the actor will be featured in theTedseries.
TheTedseries will stream on Peacock starting January 11th, 2024.
